Wonderful home with dock on Tellico Lake

We would love to share the Dock Holiday House on beautiful Tellico Lake in Loudon, TN with those interested in a comfortable get-a-way. Located in Tellico Village, the lake house is about 30 minutes from Maryville and 40 minutes from Knoxville. Tellico Village offers many ways to entertain, from live music on Friday evenings at the Yacht Club, three world class golf courses to work out facilities complete at nearby Recreation and Wellness centers.

Lenoir City, which is 12 miles away, has additional restaurants and shopping. Calhoun's on the River is about 15 minutes up the lake. The quaint town of Loudon, with its antique shops and 'mom/pop' diner is 5 miles away.

Dock Holiday House offers a beautiful wooded view, with a deep water dock on a quiet cove. The house has four bedrooms and three full baths. Upstairs is a great room with fireplace, kitchen with double oven, breakfast nook, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, dining table, and screened porch that will make you feel as if you're in a tree house. Downstairs has a media room, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, a game room with ping pong table, an outdoor porch with lovely views of the lake and a grill. In addition to four bedrooms that sleep two each. There is also a futon in the ping pong room. Bedding, towels etc. are provided.

A walk down the stairs will take you to the private dock with access to tie off your boat. Boat and kayak rentals are available at various locations around the lake. The location is close to great hiking trails, is 58 miles to Pigeon Forge and 67 miles to Gatlinburg.

Dock Holiday House has WiFi, NetFlix, and cable.

It is a great location for a quiet get-a-way for two, but also easily accommodates larger groups and works well as a gathering place for family and friends.

Tellico septic/sewer system is temperamental. Please only use Scott toilet tissue and do not flush anything else down the toilet.

The location was awesome! The owners were great and responded promptly to an issue with the ladder on the dock. The house could definitely use some up grades, but overall a fantastic vacation!

Water was perfect!

This was our second year in a row here and it was another relaxing week. We swam for hours and were able to fish right off the dock. My son and I caught several sun fish and 2 catfish that were over 18 inches. Our last day there, my son wanted to see how many small fish he could catch and we lost count after about a dozen. The house was clean and comfortable and the owners were very accommadating.

Perfect Family Vacation

We loved our stay in this wonderful, peaceful lakefront home! The communication with Stacy and Jim was great and checking in was a breeze. The views from the porch and dock are calm and relaxing, just what we needed. The home was clean, comfortable, welcoming and stocked with everything we could possibly require. Grocery stores are close by and the airport was only 40-45 minutes away. Locally, Thai Bistro and Monkey Town Brewing were delicious with MTB having a nice selection of local brews or try a sample flight. Knoxville is a lively city with a great selection of restaurants, bars, live music, stores and just a 45 minute drive. We also spent a fun day in Gatlinburg; so much to do there. As we wanted to rent a pontoon boat for the week, it was recommended by Stacy and Jim to give Tellico Lake Boat Rentals a call. Christine and Bob were pleasant and provided great service. Our boat was delivered right to our lakefront dock by with pickup at the end of the week. The whole process was easy and convenient. Overall, it was the perfect family vacation on a beautiful lake. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends! Thank you Stacy and Jim!!

Fantastic Family Home

This property is wonderful for family gatherings. We had our Thanksgiving dinner with family here. It is a beautiful, spacious home that is warm and inviting with fantastic sun room for beautiful views of the lake. The fireplace is a lovely touch. I appreciate the workspace in the kitchen for remote work during our vacation. I can’t say enough about the location and communication with the host was great! I highly recommend this lovely home!

Would not stay again

The first thing we immediately noticed when we walked in was a very strong, musty smell that permeated the house. Then go downstairs and the smell was even worse. I understand that we were next to water, but there was no de-humidifier to get rid of the excess moisture, nor were there any fans to circulate the air. The house was not very clean with cobwebs and spiders all over the house and to top it off, a hornet or wasp was circling the fan in the main room. We DID NOT leave any windows or doors open, and did not use the dock or outside area at all. Then there was no extra toilet paper anywhere in the house, and we were left to fend for ourselves when the last of it ran out. The downstairs bathroom had ringworms all over the sink, and we have video showing as much that has been submitted as this may have been one of the worst offenses of the home. Lastly, the neighborhood was VERY QUIET, which was explained in the guide book. If you are on vacation and looking to have some fun past 9pm, I would look elsewhere as this is not the place for you. We were not a howling at the moon group either, but did want to have a cocktail on the back deck/dock after the day. Then to top it off due to the location from Knoxville airport, our Uber canceled on us last minute, which apparently happens all the time. So you’ve been warned. We were not, and getting a taxi or the like on a Sunday is impossible.

Gorgeous location

We had a lovely stay at Doc Holiday house! Nestled in a quiet cove at Tellico lake you’ll enjoy peaceful mornings and even quieter nights! The walk to the dock is 74 steps with areas to rest along the way if need be. The dock has a small table ( no umbrella) but nice for a glass of wine or coffee. We rented a pontoon for the week which was delivered to us and enjoyed the lake! The house had all we needed although we had to scrounge around as things were not very organized in the kitchen ( no big deal). The house could use a second garbage can in the Garage- as it goes out Tuesday morning so it was already full from the last renters causing the garage to smell bad. Overall the outdoors could use some TCL to reduce the vines climbing up the trees to make it more visually appealing and save the beautiful oak trees- but this didn’t impact our stay. We’d stay again and the host was super responsive to our questions prior to rental! Plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed the ping pong table several evenings!

The dock holiday house is set on a wonderful wooded lot overlooking a deep cove on Tellico lake. The sunroom off the back of the house feels like a tree house and provides a tranquil setting for relaxation. Down the steps awaits your private dock which can be your outdoor recreation hub for your stay. Swim or fish right off the dock, or rent a kayak or pontoon boat and try to explore as much of the 357 miles to Tellico lake shoreline as you can.
