Nice space! My adult parents and I enjoyed their home. It was easy check-in and was accurately described. They provided a lot of snacks too which was very helpful for us arriving late at night.
My golden stayed with us. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Nice view of creek off lake. Driveway little narrow for large truck so arrive in daylight. Great snacks!
Very pet friendly! Nice gated area and large balcony for running around. Everything was clean And host was very accommodating and friendly. I would say a more accurate description is Lake view as opposed to Lake side… not really any direct access to the water but nice to look at. It should be noted that there is quite a steep driveway that you need to walk down to get to the living quarters, for anyone who might have difficulty with that…

Owner
Unit was not well light for night time arrival. Owners vehicle parked at entry of renters location of entry, made it hard for renter to maneuver around entry of unit. Was not notified of the unit being a part of owners home in which they live and rent.

We've been hosting guests through Airbnb for roughly 7 or 8 years, maintaining a 5-star review experience record, and just started hosting through VRBO, so we've had many different guests over the years. Hosting Ashley was unique, and I wish we had more to share, but I am not sure she stayed for very long during her reservation. I hope everything is/was alright.
We texted a bit beforehand: I sent her activities in the area and instructions on how to enter the space. All seemed good at that point. Friday morning: I sent her a message to let her know that she could check in at any time, and she texted back that they would arrive around 7:00 pm. We went to Knoxville with the family before they arrived, thinking that all the information the guests needed had already been communicated. At 7:06pm, she texted that she needed the address, so I sent it to her again.
At 8:39pm, our security key system had not notified me of their arrival, so I sent her a message to make sure everything was okay. She said they were about 45 minutes away. We thought they would arrive while the sun was still out, so we didn’t leave extra lights on in their space before leaving, although we had motion lights that would go on that many mention were excellent lighting. She said no problem, they’d manage. We left the concert early to ensure there would be enough lights for them.
They arrived around 10:10pm and rang the front doorbell, asking how to find the space. It seemed like they might've forgotten the directions I previously shared, which was not a problem. I let her know that she could reach out at any time if she had any other questions or needed anything. So it would have been easy to ask us to move the car if in her way although it has never been a problem for the 350 . According to our locking system, she unlocked the space at 10:11pm and locked it at 10:13pm. Not enough time to look at all the rooms, much less move in. We thought perhaps they had dropped someone off and went to visit family or something. By the time we went to bed, my husband noticed their car was already gone, which was unusual at 11:00pm.
By Sunday morning, we hadn't seen the car return and didn't receive any other messages. We were a little worried, but she never reached out or followed up. If she had communicated that the space wasn't what she was looking/hoping for, we would have canceled the reservation and returned her money. I am sorry that the describtion did not make it clear. That said, the space was left exactly how it was prepared, so it's difficult to leave a review for her outside of that.
