10 college fraternity brothers who graduated 50 years ago gathered to renew friendships and memories. we stayed at 2 locations in town--your house was perfect!
Our professional group had a very nice stay in the Tarpon House. It is situated within walking distance to the waterfront and to Walmart for all grocery needs.
The house was big enough for the 9 of us. It is an older home and has some challenges, but the location is great. The cleaning crew was rushed because of the renters before us did not leave on time, but wasn't anything that would prevent you from having a pleasant stay. The price was more than fair for the size and location of the home.
The house is quite charming and located in a great spot for getting to the beach (Honeymoon recommend) and attractions in Tarpon as a whole. However being located on 19 alt. Means road noise day and night. Simetimes quite incredible. We did experience roaches toward the end of the week but that is obviously correctable. Because if the major noise factor I cannot recommend this property.

Tarpon Springs
The property had one bedroom on the1st floor, descripition had 3 bedrooms on the first floor (we are aged seniors). The descripitions stated there was a firepit there was not, firepit was to allow us gents to smoke outside; as this is a non smoking property. Property amenities were over sold at best. It is a quaint little historial southern home that has been nicely upgrade; good place to sleep.
House totally redone, very good job. Location in Tarpon Springs is good, near downtown and docks, close to Pinellas Trail for biking, big plus for us. House was clean, above average, Good parking and safe place to store our bikes. Major negative is traffic noise from Pinellas Ave, 24/7, very noisy. House needs a bit of TLC, kitchen cabinet drawers, refrigerator, stove top need attention. Two smoke detectors are not functioning, management informed after 4th day, promised to replace but never happened.
Had a great stay! Even with 10 people, we still had a lot of room. On kind of a busy corner, but was very quiet inside and so close to downtown. Well stocked and nice place, everyone was happy! Would definitely stay here again.
Overall everything was very nice. Regarding items that management could improve...
-There was nothing that I read in all of the instructions and details that contained the lock password (to get into the house). It was very stressful getting there and not being able to get in. Please highlight clearly somewhere/anywhere the lock code!! (If it was somewhere, please make it easier to find.)
-The WiFi information listed in the description was not accurate/did not work. We had to search the house for a password, and even that we had to decipher.
-A little cleaner. All in all everything was nice however one of the blankets smelled, the dishes and cupboards are do for a deep clean. Again however, everything else was nice, and we had a good time.
A lovely home! Lots of comfortable rooms and beds to accommodate a few families. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Very nice backyard for playing games with the kids. Convenient off street parking.
Thanks to George and Chas for providing this "home away from home"!

Great, historic house. Lived in and up to date appearance. Would stay again. Convenient to area sites.
We absolutely loved the home- ice maker didn't work, but no other complaints- went to the sponge dock- eat at the restaurant there- if you're looking for fresh fish, that's the place to go. Eat Greek food that was great too- did some shopping- sitting on front porch watching the passer by's- just an all out great time-even being on main street and busy traffic it was great.
Positives
• It’s a charming 1900’s house
• Bathrooms were very nicely updated as was the kitchen. Flooring was very well done, including on the decks.
• The backyard was spacious, gorgeous, and very well fenced.
• Parkin on the back/side accommodated four cars.
• The mudroom was fantastic and the three bikes supplied looked to be in great shape.
• Bed linens and towels were ample, fresh, and first-rate.
• We had no problem with street noise. The location could not have been more centrally located.
Negatives
• Lower A/C unit didn’t work on move-in, meaning we had to move family reunion activities to my cousin’s house for three days, and two other cousins were pretty miserable for the first few nights sleeping downstairs.
• The management company never responded to a text regarding A/C, and VRBO was down the next day. Once we connected with the owners, however, they had a maintenance company on the site very quickly. I think the owne’s are looking for a new management company.
• No icemaker in the Frig.
• For as nice as the kitchen was, the cooking utensils left a bit to be desired (serving dishes were fine).
• The “house book” was a bit skimpy. I’d have loved to see more of a write-up about the house’s history and maybe a few guides for emergency’s (water cut-off, fuse-panel, etc.)
In general, I’d give this house a 5/5. My negatives are nits compared to how awesome the house is, and I have confidence in the owners to take my comments at face value.
What an awesome house. Everything he said was true in the description.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is a great size and layout for families with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchens and bathrooms are spacious and the location is fantastic. You can hear a little street noise, but nothing crazy that kept us up at night. You can walk to so much- restaurants, bars, the docks. The house also had plenty of beach chairs and bikes. The things that kept this from being 5 stars- broken cabinet and ice maker in the kitchen, only 1 wine glass (we bought a few and left them behind to pay it forward), no hooks for the towels in the bathrooms or mirrors in the bedrooms. The towels and sheets could use an upgrade, and while the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and the house was dust free, the floors could use a scrub/deep clean.
Beautifully remodeled home. I believe I read it was built in the early 1900’s. Very centrally located with covered parking. We walked to the sponge docks! The historic section is even closer with great shopping and restaurants. Definitely recommend!
