Captiva Cutie is perfectly named – cute as a button – and you’ll fall in love with her. The charming and immaculate cottage-style vacation home is located steps from Captiva’s lovely white sand beach. Lush tropical landscaping of whispering pines and dense palms offers a quiet setting for this cottage here on private Laika Lane, right in Captiva’s desirable village area.

Cutie has a heated pool with an in-ground spa tub, waterfall, and sun patio, all within a screen enclosure.

Let the white sands draw you out onto the beach for fun or relaxation, or swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. Or you can lounge by the private heated swimming pool and a spa tub.

Although Laika Lane seems quiet and remote, a short stroll from this excellent location takes you to any of Captiva’s island shops, irresistible restaurants, and activities in the Village. Captiva Cutie has been fully renovated, remodeled, and decorated, and is now in immaculate condition. We provide WIFI for guests who need to “keep in touch”.

The convenience of the one-floor construction makes Cutie a great family vacation home. The generous living room with a ceiling fan is comfortable and decorated in fun tropical colors offset by Mexican ceramic tile.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay on Captiva once a year, and had skipped the last 2 due to the Pandemic. It is our favorite place and the Village makes it work it. Captiva Cutie is a great house. A little small for 6 adults, but it worked really well. The only hiccup was the electrical in the spare bathroom and the refrigerator. The breakers kept tripping and the management company ended up at the house daily. We had to buy a camping light to use in the bathroom. The refrigerator was able to be plugged into another outlet, but the bathroom never had lighting the entire week. I hope they get that fixed.

Captiva Cutie was "all that!"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was nicely furnished. However, the front door would not lock the entire stay and the latch going out to the pool did not work so we worried about our 1-year-old and 4-year-old! Evidently the owner of the home has a camera system right outside facing the door and angled to see the screened in porch door (which is completely normal and I would do the same if my home)and he flipped out at the amount of luggage being carried in and then we had also rented a second house that held 20 people a few houses away and a group of the family stopped by to say "Hi" and he immediately called the realtor and flipped out. He saw too many people...even though we were there less than 10 minutes. The realtor called me like at 9:30 p.m. not happy with us.

Reviewer Comments: We've stayed on Captiva many times but this was our first time at Captiva Cutie.Such a lovely beach cottage with everything you could possibly want.Super cute and clean property with a well-stocked kitchen and extra supplies like beach towels,beach chairs,and a wagon to get all of your necessities to the beach.The screened in porch was perfect for a drop zone to keep sand out of the house and to enjoy outdoor meals.The private pool and spa were refreshing after a day in the sun and sand.Just a short little walk to the beach or local shops and restaurants.Captiva Cutie is perfect in every way and is a place we want to come back to!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If we are ever able to take a week vacation to Captiva again, this home will be our first choice. For just the two of us, it was PERFECT. Loved having a small private pool and access to the beach so close. Bed was comfortable (would have loved a King over Queen, but we still skept good). A list of what items are available on the property would have been helpful in advance. We bought some beach umbrellas and chairs not knowing there were some available. The house overall was very clean... the only exception was the bathtub. I prefer baths, but one look at the broken jetted tub and the yucky build up around the unused jets kept me taking showers instead. We did contact maintenance once. The pool edges started to get a green algae build up after 3 days. It only gets cleaned on Saturdays and so the last half of our stay, the pool was iffy.Overall, I would highly recommend this rental despite these 2 issues.Thanks to the owners for making this little piece of heaven available for rental.

Great for Romantic Get Away

One of the cleanest Captiva properties I’ve stayed in. Well equipped. Very secluded because of the dense foliage around the property. Also good for a small family. Safety fence available for the pool.

Perfect family vacation

This property was perfectly for our family. Located just a few steps to beach, restaurants and shops. Exactly as described. We had several drop in visits from maintenance crew fixing things that had been broken from the tropical storm a week before our stay. All were so kind and respectful of our time. We would absolutely stay here again!

We were 2 minutes to the beach and maybe 5 minutes to the village. The village had everything we needed for supplies and several great restaurants. Our house was clean, comfortable and very private. Kitchen was totally stocked. Our beach location was perfect for taking a cup of coffee down in the morning, hanging out in the afternoon and going for sunsets. Plan to book again for next year!

2020 Dream Shelling Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I must say that this cottage is so reminiscent of the 20's & 30's but with a flair for island life. Open, refreshing colors and updated interior. Just a short walk to the pristine beaches with shells galore and plenty of room for social distancing. Private beach. What we like best was the flora and fauna with all the vegetation surrounding this home made it appear that there was no one else around. Shuts out the noise and only the beauty of nature. The home was clean and crisp and it had a fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of seating room for dining inside and out on the covered lanai and pool area. My favorite spot was the hot tub. I WANT TO MENTION the beds were so comfy and the bedding was first class, I'm guessing 1000 thread count sheets after your days on the beach in the sun was glorious.We had a few minor glitches where we contacted management but they were friendly & helpful even after hours. Thank you so much for making our vacation stay perfect.
