Navin was a great host. He met us once at check in and then provided privacy, being available via the app to answer questions. The location was on a nice quiet street, with our accommodations in a private lower level. If you plan to travel in to the city a lot expect to spend a good amount on transportation.

About the host

Hosted by Navin Agrawal

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Navin!

I love traveling, exploring new places, and discovering great local cafés, restaurants, beaches, and neighborhoods. I enjoy creating a comfortable, welcoming space for guests and take pride in keeping my home clean, thoughtfully furnished, and well cared for.

I’ve lived in Alameda for many years and love its relaxed island atmosphere, beautiful architecture, walkable neighborhoods, and easy access to San Francisco. I’m happy to share local recommendations and tips to help you make the most of your stay.

Walk or take a bicycle along the pedestrian/bicycle path and you will be immersed in nature with the bay, marshland and critters such as ground squirrels, birds (brown pelican, blue heron, oyster catchers, egrets, and many many more) A twenty minute beautiful ferry ride brings you to the Ferry Building in San Francisco!

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because I love the relaxed, residential feel of Alameda while still being close to everything. I enjoy being able to walk or bike to the beach, local cafés, restaurants, and shops, while having a peaceful place to come home to.

The beautiful historic homes, tree-lined streets, and friendly neighborhood atmosphere are also a big part of what makes this area special to me.

I also love how easy it is to get to San Francisco and explore the rest of the Bay Area from here.

What makes this property unique

What makes my place unique is its combination of historic Alameda character, a peaceful garden-level setting, and a simple, thoughtfully designed interior. I’ve furnished the space with natural and sustainable materials, comfortable cotton linens, and everything I think guests need for a relaxing stay.

The location is another highlight. You can walk to the beach, cafés, restaurants, and shops, while still enjoying the quiet atmosphere of a residential neighborhood. It’s also an easy base for exploring San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area.

I’ve tried to create a space that feels more like a comfortable home than a typical vacation rental.
