About this property
Kenai River Hideaway
Beautiful River Front location with fabulous Sockeye Salmon fishing.
Five bedrooms with three up and two down, as well as three bathrooms with two up and one down. We easily sleep 14 and also have three queen size aero mattress if more space is needed. There are two full kitchens with most amenities anyone might desire.
We have fifty feet of fishable dock useable during seasonable dates. There is a complete fish cleaning station at the dock. There is no handicap access to the dock. If you are hiring a river charter, the dock has access with stairs for your charter to use. We are located directly across from Centennial Park at river mile approximately 20.5.
Views from the front room are amazing all year long. There are always eagles just outside the window ready for you to view. Have a seat at the fire pit and take a load off. Or, enjoy a steam in the sauna that is located in the downstairs area. We have a chest freezer for you to keep all of your freshly processed fish.
We do not supply rods or tackle . There is a net and bonker at the dock. The processor, Custom Seafoods, is located a short 2-mile driving distance from the home. The stunning Kenai River is just right outside the door.
Located just minutes from grocery stores and restaurants. This location is also a great jumping off spot to see the Kenai Peninsula or charter deep sea fishing from either Homer or Seward!
Strictly NO PARTIES! Having more than the maximum number of guests on the property will result in immediate loss of reservation and payment. Absolutely no smoking in the house. Should you choose to smoke on either deck, all windows must be closed . These items will incur an immediate $500 cleaning fee. Thank you for your cooperation.
We do not allow pets of any sort, including all support animals. There is a health and safety issue for other guests as well as accommodators. We do apologize if that causes problems.
Fish on!!

This place was perfect for my group of 9 men who came for a fishing adventure. Everything was very clean and the house was so welcoming. There was nothing I would change.
This house was perfect for our family stay!! Clean, great location and the hostess was the best!! Plenty of room for everyone beautiful view of the river. Will definitely stay again!! Thank you Rachael for an amazing home away from home!!
The owners were so accommodating and friendly. Rachel is on top of everything and we totally enjoyed our stay. The place is wonderful beautifully decorated and the fishing docks are spectacular! No regrets renting this home at all! What a great place to relax and enjoy Alaska!
This property was immaculate and the layout worked perfectly for our family. The river access was excellent as well. Property as described and then some! I recommend it without reservation as long as you can navigate safe but steep stairs to the water. Hope to be back!
Family of 9 and still had 2 beds left. The beds are really comfortable. Views and fire pit we especially good.
Huge kitchen, great washer, and dryer, plenty of soap and Laundry detergent.
Even though the fish count was down we came home with lots of filets! The fishing is especially good here.
And we've already reserved this same house for next year!
Rachel was an amazing person to deal with start to finish.
Wow is what I would like to call this property.
If you’re looking for fishing and relaxation.
Look no farther. This is the place for you.
Best family trip ever! Prime location on the peninsula and steps away from the Kenai River. Lots of room & sleeping options for our large group. Enjoyed cooking together, bbq’ing, making s’mores around the campfire, playing horseshoes, fishing & sauna time. An eagle graced us every day sitting in the tree and we would watch him from the dining room window. Once when we were down at the dock cleaning fish he swooped down into the river just feet from us! Always super fast responses from Rachael, whenever we had any questions she would call me right away. She also gave us fishing tips and suggested places to eat. I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting her dad Tom but my family members who did said he was very nice. Day trips to Homer spit and a Whittier glacier tour are a must! We would definitely stay here again ❤️ thank you for your hospitality!!!
This beautiful riverfront home did not disappoint, the amenities are abundant and location is in a word perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So many precious moments made and much laughter shared around the fire pit, on the fishing dock and while hanging out in the great spaces up and down stairs. We were very successful fishing - both on glacial lake fly in excursions and deep sea fishing outings so the two refrigerators with freezers and the deep freeze were awesome! The owner even has scales to weigh, which was great.
The one technology challenge we had was with the WIFI, three different carriers represented (AT&T, T-Mobile & Verizon) and we never could access WIFI we had the name and password and even reset the router multiple times.
Highly recommend this property and the owner and care take Mr. Thom were wonderful to work with.
We’ve fished here many times over the summers past and believe this spot on the river is set up for catching the daily limit without a doubt and ease. There’s a rock a little above the dock for fish to funnel close to the bank or rest behind.
The cleaning station has a great surface with good running water. Wonderful net was provided too. Also enjoyed the bench for occasional breaks. It’s about 80 steps however helped stretched my legs and back out after standing awhile.
The house is well appointed with Excellent appliances. Showers have great water pressure. My truly favorite thing was the sheets and beds were comfortable, most rental properties don’t consider the importance of a good nights rest.
We truly enjoyed our stay and booked next years about 24-48 hours after we had arrived.
We enjoyed our stay at this property and loved watching the Eagles and the pretty view of the river. Sleeping was very comfortable and we appreciated having a grocery store only minutes away.
This place has anything and everything you could want or need. There's plenty of space, a well appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, fire pit, sauna, and more. The highlight is the river view and access, though. It just doesn't get better!
This place was awesome! It was even better than the pictures. Plenty of space, and the kitchen was well equipped. We were very comfortable, and we can't wait to go back.
