Welcome to Nautical Nook! This classic beach cottage offers the perfect blend of coastal charm and modern conveniences, making it an ideal getaway for families and their furry friends. Located just 1 ½ blocks from the beach and a quick 5-minute walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, bars, shops, and the lake, you'll enjoy being in the heart of Carolina Beach. For nature lovers, Carolina Beach State Park, with its scenic walking trails, is just a short drive away. The cottage’s screened-in front porch, complete with four rocking chairs, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the coastal breeze.

Step inside to find a cozy and inviting living space, equipped with a flat-screen Smart TV, DVD player, and plenty of seating for family game nights or movie marathons. The fully equipped kitchen features all the essentials, including an air fryer, crockpot, and seating for six, plus a kitchen bar for four more. The three bedrooms provide comfortable accommodations, with two queen bedrooms featuring flat-screen TVs and ceiling fans, and a unique third bedroom with bunk beds and a private key entry, perfect for added privacy or older kids. A full bathroom with a stand-up shower and in-unit washer and dryer add convenience to your stay.

This was our first visit to Carolina Beach and we could not be more happy with our stay at Nautical Nook. The cottage is reasonably priced and conveniently located close to the beach and boardwalk, but also on a side street a little quieter than the main road. The house was clean and everything we needed ready on arrival. The highlights for us were the screened in front porch and huge fenced back yard - great to let your dog run around in. My only complaint is the fan in the master bedroom was a little noisy. Other than that, we were very happy and would book this property again.

Weekend at the beach with the dogs.

Great place to stay for a weekend at Carolina Beach. Short walk to the beach, the market at the lake, or restaurants or ice cream. The house was perfect for our needs, the screened in porch, back deck and fenced in yard for the dogs were excellent for our purposes.

Family together close to everything!

The location is excellent, short walk to the beach, restaurants, entertainment and shopping. I loved the walk around the lake with my dog and enjoyed the Saturday market by the lake! Enjoyed the front screen porch with rocking chairs.

Great place and location

We stayed at this home for the whole month of June. The home was quit, clean, and in a safe location. There is a lot to do with the beach and boardwalk within a few minutes' walk. Highly recommend this home.

Wonderful vacation

This was a great house for our family. The location was perfect and the house was so cute and accommodating for our needs. It is such a great beach cottage for the family with the best yard to accommodate your k-9 family members. There are so many things to do close to the house. We truly loved our stay in this house and plan on booking it again.

Great Place For Vacation

We had a wonderful stay!! The property was cute, very clean and had a nice, big, private backyard which our 2 dogs absolutely loved. The cottage was in a perfect location. We could walk to everything and did. Close walk to the beach, lake, coffee shops, boardwalk, restaurants and bars. The only time we moved our car was to go to the Food Lion for groceries. Although close to everything, our street was very quiet and peaceful. We have stayed on the North and South ends of the Island in the past, but this was our favorite location. We will definitely stay here again!!

Great older beach house

Overall we loved the house. The ability to bring our pup and have a fenced in yard so close to everything was awesome. Don’t expect a brand new house. It’s an old school beach house with lots of character. We didn’t plan our vacation around being in the house all the time. Walking distance to everything, sit back and enjoy a drink on the screened front porch or under the awning on the back deck. A lot of cooking utensils and they have towels provided which was a nice bonus.

Amazing location that needs upgrades

I really LOVE this location! Incredible and pet friendly. The one major area of improvement is the kitchen. It felt dirty and all utensils, cookware, etc are gross. These items should be cleaned between guests, not just left to roll over until someone uses it and then may or may not clean. If you plan to go out for every dinner, then this place is perfect. We just enjoy cooking and had to clean everything twice, once before and once after. So, again, great location, communication, pet friendly, but just a really subpar kitchen .

Cozy vacation house!

We had such a nice time for our first visit to Carolina Beach! It felt comfortable, like it was somebody’s house, and not just a rental, and it smelled freshly cleaned when we walked in. The neighborhood was quiet, even though it was close to the action- we all slept well. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, and appliances. The dishwasher’s a bit old, and didn’t do a great job so we hand washed our dishes, but I didn’t mind. It was nice to have essentials like dish soap, dishwasher pods, coffee filters, salt, pepper, and sugar all provided. I also appreciated the basket of hotel shampoos/soaps in the bathroom. Saved us from going to the store for a bar of soap when we ran out. Our dogs enjoyed the big fenced-in yard, and the dog-friendly community. It was great to have so much within walking distance! Loved the Veggie Wagon, CB Surf Shop, and Squigley’s Ice Cream, that were all super close. And, of course, the beach was amazing. We’d love to come again sometime!

Disappointed

I try to find a rental that seems cozy and unpretentious at the beach so it pains me to leave a poor review but there were far too many things that should be addressed that I need to share with whomever wants to rent next. Itwill be difficult to list all. The worst thing was the lack of cleanliness. The air intake was covered with pet hair and lint. There was so much hair on the furniture and rugs we requested a vacuum cleaner and it filled the canister doing only the sofa and small area rug in living space...ditto for bedrooms. There was a huge lint and hair ball behind the TV stand as well as a dead frog. The dishwasher looks disgusting inside and we hand washed our dishes.The dryer lint filter was completely packed with lint, seashells, etc. to the point it had to be a fire hazard. I could go on but I'll stop there. The location in good but it's hard to look past the condition of the way we found it. Yes, I took pictures. This is a managed property and can only hope the owners are made aware.

Needs a deep clean

Arrived at designated check in which was 4-6pm only to find out cleaning had not been completed. Previous tenants mess was everywhere. No beds made. Realty company did reach out to tell us this but it was 30 mins after check in at 4:30. We walked into a house with no bedding and dirty bedding still piled in the corner. Fridge full of previous vacationer's things. Cleaning crew finally arrived around 6pm and cleaned up. This whole time we sat outside so they could clean. We were finally able to get Into the house after 7pm. This was after an 8 hr drive to get there. I was texted an apology but it really seemed empty. No personal follow up to make sure things were satisfactory. After being in the house we noticed it really needed a deep clean. Corners of window sills, fans, baseboards all have thick dust on them. Even dust just clinging to the walls in the living room. The air filter was covered in dust as well. There was trash left outside of the house under steps from previous tenant including broken glass. We get a text saying to take out the trash for pickup. We have stayed in this town before and the owners would pull the trash. So we pull the trash out and recycling of the precious tenant, not ours. Text said to not bag recycling or there is a fine. I was not about to go through someone elses trash to do this. Trash bags were already in there when we got there. Bathroom vent had dead bugs and dust in the vent. Back bedroom has chewed gum in window sill. When we arrived we noticed the gate was not secure on the fence. We tried to fix it as best we could.We obviously had no way of knowing how the gate locked as it was ajar when we got there. Someone showed up when we were out and mowed the grass and left a rude note in black sharpie on the gate. It said "do not tamper with latch! re property owner". There was no notification someone would be on the property either. All doors in the home do not latch properly. You have to really take care to get them to latch. Word of advise when locking the entry door is to pull the entry door to you to get the lock moving. It seems out of square or something and will not lock or unlock unless you do it a specific way. It may have to do with the lock being installed crooked as well. Overall, we love this area very much. We have never had a negative experience with renting until now. It was very disappointing for the cost. We will stay away from this company from now on.
