The property provided a great opportunity for family dinners and much laughter. The downstairs bedroom was a great asset for a disabled gràndparent. The kitchen was well stocked and provided ample opportunity for cooking for a large group. The beachfront was private and quiet.
the Lodge was charming and was fully equip with all we needed. Lake Dunmore is one of Vermont’s hidden gems. If you love vintage mountain lake homes this is it.
We can’t speak highly enough about staying at Jenny’s property-the lake, the hiking, the mountains, Jenny’s hospitality. It was exactly what our family needed. Wish we could go back!
The lodge is everything described, made for a special reunion of old friends and their families. Beautiful lake, right across street entertained everyone and world class hiking in green mountains near by. Highly recommended.
I've been to Vermont several times, but never before to Lake Dunmore and the surrounding area. What a pleasant surprise! I will be returning. If you are looking for days spent swimming, sailing, paddle boarding, and kayaking this property has it all there for you. The house is comfortable, clean, well equipped, and large enough for everyone to spread out. Honestly, you could spend an entire week just at the house. The closest small town, Brandon, has several charming small shops including a fantastic bakery and it's own brewery. Equal distance away is Middlebury, which although under construction, was fun to walk around in and had restaurants for dine in or take out. A short drive away is public access blueberry picking and some awesome hiking. We checked out Silver lake. Our hostess Jennie, was kind, helpful, and very responsive. Highly recommend.
We live lakeside across the street from The Lodge with our golden retriever.
