About this property

Relax and Enjoy - Waterfront Bach in Ngakuta Bay

A fully equipped holiday home in an easy accessible location. Direct access to water in front of the bach, larger boat launching ramp and jetty 2 minutes down the road.
Tenting area available. Family friendly. Extras include: BBQ, Outdoor games ,free use of a sit on kayak and dingy , lifejackets and fishing gear included. Freeview TV.
Our holiday home has been in the family for over 40 years . The lounge is particularly spacious and the section private, sheltered and a sunny location. It is an enjoyable place for the whole family to relax and enjoy with special extras like a children's fun bush walk and some friendly wekas within the property. By night a short stroll away are some glow worms that are well worth the look. For active holiday makers there are many bush walks to other bays in the area or mountain biking tracks to explore.

Lots of quiet places to pick up a book or fishing rod and take some space for yourself. There is a deck for enjoying summer meals, and alongside that an outdoor fireplace area where, so long as there is no fire ban, you can chat and relax with a drink or two as the family toast marshmallows.
The bach is also stocked with plenty of board games, books (adults and childrens) as well as DVDS for rainy days or if you feel like relaxing indoors.

Personal feedback we have received is that the holiday home is a special and favourite place. Easy to stay at and a unique property and location.
Special conditions:
No smoking or dogs allowed inside please.

Free use of a sit on plastic kayak (yak) a small dingy, and lifejackets.

Pillows and mattress covers provided, you will need your own sheets, pillow covers and towels .

Wonderful holiday home with amazing views in a fabulous location. Fuss free communication with host. We would highly recommend this holiday home. Our only criticism was the very dirty state of the barbecue which we could not use.

Perfect getaway for re-uniting friends

For 3 couples this was so enjoyable. Plenty of space, great facilities, lots of activity...and we had great weather.One little hitch with the sit on kayak...has holes in it and started sinking with someone on it out in the middle of the bay.

We loved the property. A little further from water access than we thought. (For carrying paddlieboards) Great house for a family. A linen extra, with extra fee would be great also!

Amazing location

Great place to stay for a long weekend getaway. House is very cool with lots of space to play and have quiet time if needed. Lovely big lawn to activities, kayaks and dinghy were great. Lots of toys books and dvds for rainy days. Pretty much all bases are covered! Such a special place highly recommend.

A lovely spot to spend a couple of days as it is close to Picton, good fishing and walks.

The property is ideal for a large family group. Bathroom although small was new and clean. Kids loved the outside hot shower. The rest of the property was quite tired and needed a good clean. Expensive for what it was.

Lovely family bach

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay.
