This is the perfect cozy getaway for couples looking for a secluded escape. If you want a break from the city to unwind and reconnect with nature, I highly recommend this BnB. We loved the beautiful starry night skies, the smell of the campfire while eating s'mores, and relaxing on the hammock.I personally enjoyed the winding, scenic drive up, as well as being just 5 to 10 minutes away from multiple trails and bodies of water for paddle boarding!Communication was excellent. Tina checked in daily via the VRBO app and was wonderfully accommodating. She was also extremely mindful of our privacy-any items we requested were left at the top of the stairs so we were never disturbed, which is an introvert's dream!With so many local restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and mom-and-pop shops nearby, not a single day felt wasted. If you don't feel like eating out every night, the kitchenette is equipped with a small cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, and kettle, making it effortless to whip up breakfast and dinner.10/10—would recommend and stay here again!

Why they chose this property

I’ve lived in East Sooke for over 20 years, but five years ago I bought this lot and built this home. I chose this property because it sits up high with the most amazing view.

There’s a reason this road is called Owl’s Nest Place — families of owls nest all throughout this area, and hearing them nearby is something truly special. Every morning I wake up feeling grateful for this peaceful and unique location. 🌿🦉

There’s a reason this place is called Owl’s Nest Place. Every season, families of owls nest throughout the area, and hearing them in the mornings and evenings is something truly special.

Five years ago, I built my home here, and not one day goes by that I’m not grateful for this view and this peaceful location. Waking up each morning surrounded by nature reminds me how unique and rare this little piece of East Sooke really is. 🌿🦉
