About the Area:
Set in a convenient location near the ‘Y’, where HWY 50 and HWY89 meet. This home makes it easy to enjoy both outdoor adventure and local favorites. You are close to Twin Peaks for hiking, backcountry skiing, and exploring quieter mountain terrain, while everyday essentials are easy to grab at the Raley’s on Emerald Bay Road. When it is time to head out for the evening, enjoy wood-fired pizza, drinks, and live music at AleWorX, sample local craft beers and community events at South Lake Brewing Company, or stop into Classic Cue for a laid-back game of pool.

A short drive of about 3.7 miles brings you to Pope Beach, a beautiful stretch of sand and known for swimming, picnicking, and classic Tahoe views. You are also near historic Camp Richardson, a longtime South Shore favorite with dining, beach access, and year-round recreation. For a quieter alpine escape, Fallen Leaf Lake offers a more peaceful, tucked-away setting than Lake Tahoe, with forested shoreline, calm water, and easy access to scenic trails and day trips. Nearby Emerald Bay is one of Tahoe’s most iconic sights, with dramatic blue-green water, sweeping overlooks, Fannette Isl and, and access to scenic hiking near historic Vikingsholm.

Comfortable and clean. Great layout for our family of three. Kitchen has everything you need. Easy access to trails, grocery store, cafes, bars, etc. Located on the edge of the neighborhood, so quiet and private. Backyard connects to local trail with great view of South Lake Tahoe. Overall, a great stay and a great spot!
