Located in the town of Carsac-Aillac, 10 minutes from Sarlat, the cottage "La maison girafe" offers you all year round:<br>- A 70m² house for 4 to 6 people (2 bedrooms and 2 places in the living room), with a fully equipped kitchen<br>- The cachet of stone and wood<br>- A complete renovation that we want to be pleasant to live in<br>- A building next to the owners' house but not overlooked.<br>Our rates include linen, cleaning, water, electricity, wifi and heating if applicable.<br><br>All baby equipment can be provided on request (travel cot, changing table, high chair, bathtub...).<br>Pets are not allowed on the premises.<br><br>The giraffe house is also... <br>... a grassy terrace reserved for guests, with dining area;<br>... The gite is at a nice and quit place. Swimming pool is great. The owners are very kind and helpfull.We spend a week during the hottest week ever in that area so we make a lot use of the pool.Because of the heat we missed the airco. We highly recommend this gite to spend a nice time in a perfect equipped and clean house i a beautifull area.

Lovely stay in the Dordogne

We really enjoyed the very charming gîte. A combination of authentic elements but with all modern comfort and eye for ecology. The swimming pool was a great asset. We had a good hub here to explore the magnificent region. Fanny & Guillaume are good hosts.

We loved our stay!

What a great time we had at 'la maison girafe'. Our family (two adults, 2 kids (11 and 13) all enjoyed! The property is great and has everything you need. After visiting Germany and Rome, Dordogne and la maison girafe' were the perfect restful stop before moving on. The pool and ping pong table was a hit with the kids especially as we arrived in a heat wave. We loved having meals out back in the cozy terrace area. There are 3 chickens on the property and it was fun to spot them. The location is amazing. Can walk into the town of Carsac in 20 minutes where you can get groceries and wine. A short drive to everything in Dordogne. Our hosts were lovely and have truly created a beautidul space to live. Thanks for sharing it with us!

A Perfect Stay in Dordogne - Highly Recommend!

We had the most wonderful 10-day stay at this beautiful property in the Dordogne. Everything about our experience was perfect from start to finish. The house is immaculate, well-equipped, and truly a home away from home. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and unwind, while still being ideally located for exploring the stunning Dordogne region. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. The attention to detail throughout the property—from the comfortable beds to the well-stocked kitchen—was excellent, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We particularly loved spending time in the outdoor spaces, whether it was enjoying our morning coffee on the terrace or relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine in the evening. The serene views of the surrounding countryside were a dream. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay in France, we highly recommend this property. We can’t wait to return!

Three Weeks In May

My wife and i stayed at the Maison Girafe from May 9 through June 4 2024. In spite of sub optimal weather, the gite was spectacular. The covered sitting areas were perfect and enabled us to spend significant time outside in spite of the rain. The Gite itself was really well appointed, clean, modern and comfortable. In fact it was one of the best we have stayed in at any point in France. Perhaps the best part was how wonderful Fany and Guillaume were. They live on the property so are available if needed, but give you space as well if that is what you are requiring. Their little daughter was delightful and my wife and i looked foward to hearing her greet us when we would return home from our cycling adventures. Bottom line, this is an incredible place run by really wonderful and caring owners. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Bob and Nancy

A lovely property exactly as described. It is comfortable and very well equipped including leisure facilities such as a table tennis table and games to play. The hosts are amazing and it is the most excellent location for sightseeing in the DordogneDespite being a very quiet rural property, it is also very convenient for shops And other facilities. We would most definitely go back.

Nous recommandons !Le gîte est convivial, fonctionnel et tout équipé.Les espaces extérieurs offrent un cadre vraiment superbe et de nombreuses activités clés en main. Situé à 3 min de la rivière de la Dordogne et à 10 min de Sarlat, nous avons pu rayonner vers la Roque-Gageac, Beynac, la grotte de Lascaux, le gouffre de Padirac et Rocamadour en quelques jours.Une semaine de vacances complète, facile et agréable, d'autant plus grâce à l'hospitalité et à la bienveillance de nos hôtes.Merci encore !

Suite de la découverte du Périgord

Nous avons à nouveau passé quelques jours dans cette très belle région. L'emplacement de la Maison Girafe est idéal pour la découvrir ; le village proche offre toutes les commodités: pharmacie, boulangerie, boucherie, supérette. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires qui sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes.La maison, très agréable, très propre, bien équipée, est conforme au descriptif. Il est par ailleurs très appréciable que soient mis à disposition condiments, café et produits ménagers.La pluie ne nous a malheureusement pas permis de profiter des beaux espaces extérieurs. Nous recommandons donc cette location.

Super séjour en Dordogne

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la Maison Girafe !!! Tout était parfait, le gîte est magnifique, l'accueil est top, la région est magnifique. On espère vraiment avoir l'occasion de revenir.

Séjour périgourdin

Nous avons choisi ce gîte pour son emplacement et sa tranquilité. Prestations ++ , beaucoup de charme et même si nous n'avons pas rencontré les propriétaires, le contact a été très bon.
