I love Bear Pause Cabin!! A perfect mountain stay! Peaceful, comfortable, tottaly my rustic vibe, antler, deer decor and cozy! You can walk to town, if your inclined, or free parking down town! The shops are great, and a safari tour during elk rutting is fantastic!! Bear Pause Cabin is in a perfect location! Can't wait to go again!
A good place for kids, located within walking distance from the town. We were nervous about not having A/C in late June but it wasn't a problem. A bit overpriced, but pleasant overall.
Convenient location. Rustic decor: 70s rental. Everything a large family needs: every appliance down to ice maker in the fridge. Three portable fans. The kids loved it. We did see a BEAR on the street even though the location is very muchi n town.
Great location close to downtown Estes Park, nice views of the mountains in a modest, family-friendly cottage. The acommodations are clean and well cared for, and could benefit from some additional ventilation/odor eliminator.
This was a beautiful three bedroom home located just 5 minutes walk from the corner of Estes Park. Spectacular view from rear of house. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to RMNP, look no further!
This was the best experience!! Cabin was very clean and very very quiet. Quick 15 minute walk to downtown and the Stanley. The Elk crossed every night.
The cabin is nice and clean. The recliners are old and hard to get out of. The master bedroom bed appears to be newer (king size) and comfortable. Nice views. If anyone has a walk-in inch issue not friendly to walk to town. (Hills)
Charming 3 bedroom cottage. The bedrooms are all spaced out which is perfect for families with older children. Everything is on one level (no stairs) making it convenient for individuals with mobility issues. Living rooms is quite spacious and the furniture is comfortable. This cottage has no AC which is common in mountain communities but we were grateful that there were plenty of fans on property to help cool the house down. I was a little disappointed that you have to provide your own hand soap as well as laundry soap. I’ve stayed at many properties where this was included. Check in was ok as you have to go to a separate place off property in order to obtain the code to open the door. This seemed like an unnecessary process. Upon entry into the unit, there were muddy footprints on the carpet in the living room as well as the twin bunk bedroom. Not a good first impression for sure. Overall, good location, comfortable beds and furniture with easy access to local area.
Property is within walking distance to town. The property looked small when we 1st seen it but it very roomy. I loved the quiet location. We also loved the Elk in our neighborhood. We love Estes Park Colorado
Spent a week with my 2 adult sons fishing. The Bear Pause cabin was a perfect host to us! Lots of recent upgrades and plenty of outdoor spots to sit and relax and joy the Estes Park fresh air and views! We will definitely be back! Many thanks!
This house was an older home, but maintained well on the inside. Everything you could have needed was inside - we even did a puzzle over the 4 days.
Outside could have used some TLC (bushes, shrubs, walk areas.
The manager was easy to get in touch with before we arrived, and answered all of our questions.
It was easy to get to, and was centrally located to town, shops, and the mountains.
Great views!
Overall satisfied, but for the cleaning fee they should have had the outside and walk areas clean and clear.
Great location which was perfect for a trip to the National Park. House was cute and comfortable. A few tweaks and would give excellent rating-- but dishwasher was not working and washer arm detached. No communication about this from management. No dishwasher detergent and lacking in a few extras of TLC like instructions on tv, and coffee with sweetener available and not just what was left over from previous tenants. Outside lights had about half the bulbs out. Enjoyed it regardless--
This home was just what we needed. Super cozy and the location was perfect. Views of the Rocky Mountains and Stanley Hotel made it extra special. We also enjoyed being able to take a short 5 minute walk to the main strip of stores and restaurants. The house is located just a short drive to the National Park entrance making it easy to get around. We loved coming home to a peaceful escape after a day of exploring. We cant wait to go back. Estes Park and Bear Pause definitely have a place in our Floridian hearts ♥️.
We were pleasantly to surprised to find the king bed.
We found the house was furnished with a great deal of care. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked.
