Ideal holiday home for 2 or 3 couples, and 4 to 6 children depending on the configuration. The house is located 5 km from Sarlat; it is a comfortable Perigordian house on 1 ha of land with a heated swimming pool exclusively for tenants (there are no other houses on the property).

House located in the heart of the Dordogne, a few kilometres from Sarlat-La-Canéda, capital of the Périgord Noir. The house is located in Montfort, renowned for the meander of the Dordogne winding around the famous castle perched on top of a promontory. The house is bathed in a haven of peace in a green setting; it is set in magnificent grounds of 1 hectare, one third of which is a walnut plantation, one third a pleasure garden in the middle of which is the house, and at the back a small wild wood on the hillside. Behind the property, on the other side of the hill, is the Rochebois Golf Club, a magnificent estate that is very popular with players (reopening planned for 2026).
The house can accommodate 2 couples on the ground floor and 1 couple and 4 children upstairs.
The house includes:
- 2 individual double bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom (there are therefore 2 bathrooms) on the ground floor
- 1 bedroom with 2 beds on the first floor
- 1 mini-dormitory bedroom with 4 beds on the first floor
- 1 shower room on the first floor (shared by the 2 bedrooms)

Lage sensationell. Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Toller Urlaub. Erholung pur. Man bezahlt für die geniale Lage, nicht unbedingt das Haus: Liegen kaputt, in der Küche nur 1 Pfanne, Kühlschrank verliert Wasser, Bäder waren nicht komplett sauber.

En pleine nature aux milieux des châteaux

Si vous n'aimez pas être réveillé par les biches, les oiseaux ou les écureuils, passez votre chemin. La maison, une périgourdine traditionnelle, a été rénovée et agencée avec beaucoup de goût, très confortable (3 salles d'eau, 4 wc), en haut d'un vallon, avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne et le château de Monfort, accès par un petit chemin privé. Plein de ballades à pieds, la Dordogne de même à moins de dix minutes. Sarlat à 5 kilomètres. La piscine, non couverte mais chauffée par une pompe à chaleur, atteignait les 25° à 26°c, alors qu'en ce début d'automne les températures fraîchissaient. Seul petit reproche au niveau de la cuisine, le frigo est très petit, cela a été car nous n'avons jamais été plus de quatre à la fois, mais en plein été ça peut-être juste. à part cela, très très content de notre séjour. Bel endroit, mais prestations pas au niveau de son prix

Nous avons loué la maison au cours du mois d'août 2024. Les points forts de la demeure : la proximité de Sarlat, la piscine sécurisée, l'étendue du parc, le calme, le WIFI et enfin une superbe vue. Toutefois, la prestation n'est pas au niveau du prix demandé. Ceci en comparaison après avoir fait 5 locations différentes dans la région, En premier lieu, l’expérience d'accueil laisse à désirer puisque pour la première fois nous ne sommes pas accueillis physiquement mais par une boîte à clef. Nous n'avons jamais eu affaire au propriétaire, mais un service de conciergerie qui de son propre aveu gère de nombreux biens et n'a donc pas le temps de nous répondre/ Au delà de cela, par rapport aux standards déjà connus, de nombreux éléments ne sont pas au niveau : * Compte tenu du prix de la maison, devoir abonder pour bénéfice de linge de maison est un peu abusé * La poussière s'est accumulée et une forte odeur de renfermé reste tenace dans la maison * L’état de propreté est insuffisant * Le cadenas de la piscine est rouillé donc dangereux * Enfin, pas de livret d'accueil, ce qui est pourtant une chose fréquente voire standard Au final, un bel endroit mais laissé dans son jus

Bonjour, merci pour votre commentaire. Je suis évidemment triste que vous soyez un peu déçu par votre séjour. Effectivement, depuis 2022, nous n’assurons plus un accueil systématique sur place : d’une part, nous-mêmes n’habitons pas en France, et d’autre part, la conciergerie professionnelle ne peut pas assurer une présence tous les samedis durant la haute saison au vu du nombre de logement qu’elle gère. Il me semble en tout cas qu’elle est accessible et réactive à tout moment, pour répondre à toute question ou problème qui pourrait surgir. La maison est idéalement située pour visiter les plus beaux sites de la région ! La maison est grande, plus ou moins bien équipée, la piscine est agréable (sauf les cailloux pas top autour de la piscine). Belle terrasse mais attention aux frelons! Et Attention aussi à l’accès qui se fait par un petit chemin, pour les voitures basses ce n’est pas très pratique! Beau séjour dans son ensemble!

Ruhig gelegen mit schöner Aussicht

Lage zwischen Sarlat und Fluss ist toll, ruhig an ein Feldweg ohne Verkehr. Geräumige Garten mit schöner grosser pool. Das Haus ist schön und gut eingerichtet mit alles was es braucht.

Séjour très agréable dans le Périgord

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cette maison. Les chambres sont toutes spacieuses, avec une salle de bain, un vrai plus.La literie est bonne. Le calme est garantit car la maison est isolée avec une superbe vue sur le château. Les points négatifs de cette maison sont peu nombreux, le nombre de marches (attention aux personnes à mobilité réduite), les équipements parfois un peu justes (pas de plat à tarte, verres tous dépareillés, salon pas confortable …), le paiement au réel de l’électricité en fin de séjour apporte une note négative (a inclure dans le tarif de la location). Enfin un livret d’accueil pour conseiller sur les bons plans ou incontournables de la région aurait été apprécié.

Peaceful, comfortable and convenient in the heart of the Dordogne

We have just enjoyed a very successful month long stay en famille in this lovely property. The location is really perfect for the sites of the Dordogne area. The house and pool are secluded and private but very convenient for Sarlat, the river and various chateaux. The house was ideally arranged for our party so that the young family could occupy the rooms and bathroom on the first floor and there were still two good sized bedrooms with their own en-suites on the ground floor for the other adults. Everything was clean and generally well equipped. We did bring a few extra things (having checked with Arnault first) such as a teapot and some large mugs. Because we were staying for a month we also bought a few large glasses, a chopping board and fans for all the bedrooms but there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans. The oven is small but very efficient. If you’re not used to this type of oven the instructions are easily found online and in English. The wifi was excellent. Because we were there during a heatwave, the well maintained pool was a godsend and was in use every day. There are lots of sun loungers and the beds are very comfortable. The double beds are all ( English) king size - if you’re bringing your own sheets. Because we had young children with us we found the stair gates, travel cot and high chair very useful. Our youngest grandchild (17months ) managed quite well negotiating the little steps both inside and outside the house and the little path down to the swimming pool. The pool is safely fenced off so that children cannot get in unaccompanied. Arnault was very prompt and very helpful in responding to any questions in considerable detail and, if we had any concerns or questions during our stay there was someone on hand to help very quickly. It’s a lovely spot with a view of Montfort, the river beach at Soleil Plage and Margot’s boulangerie/ pâtisserie within easy walking distance and we can definitely recommend it as a comfortable house ideally situated for visiting the Dordogne.

Fijn huis, waar je heerlijk buiten kunt leven. Voor kleintjes die wel kruipen, maar niet lopen wel iets lastiger ivm aflopende grasvelden en grit rondom zwembad en terras. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad met de hele familie

Très agreable maison périgourdine avec grand jardin parfaitement situé

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine malgré le canicule: la maison résistait assez à la chaleur et la piscine avec vue sur le château de Montfort aidait beaucoup. Cuisine très bien équipée. Situation excellente pour découvrir les joyaux de la Dordogne. Dépôt de pain à deux minutes en vélo. Merci beaucoup!

Séjour formidable!

Nous avons passé un séjour extra en Dordogne, le cadre de cette maison y a largement contribué. L'emplacement était pour nous idéal : au calme, très proche de Sarlat et de quelques villages classés parmi les plus beaux villages de France. Le petit bourg de Montfort-Vitrac n'est lui-même pas dénué de charme! Nous avons également apprécié être à 20mn à pied de la Dordogne et d'un centre de location de canoës. La maison est bien équipée, avec ses 3 salles de bains et ses 4 WC. Une ou deux casseroles en plus n'aurai(en)t pas été du luxe mais cela ne nous a pas gênés outre mesure. La piscine est très bien entretenue, de même que le jardin. La faute à pas de chance a fait que la plaque vitrocéramique a rendu l'âme pendant notre séjour. Nous remercions chaleureusement le propriétaire et la personne responsable de la location sur place pour leur réactivité à la remplacer ainsi que pour le geste commercial. Nous recommandons!

Beautiful but no-frills

Our family of 8 stayed in this property for a week in June 2018. The setting was beautiful, with the rural landscape and Montfort castle as a backdrop, cows that mooed to us every evening, and a spacious rental with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all of us. We had a wonderful time there. The only thing to note is that the property does not provide any bedding, towels, or even extra toilet paper than what is available when you arrive. We were traveling with young kids for 3 weeks and had no extra room to pack any linens. We therefore had to pay an extra 2.5 euros per person per day (!!!) for bedding and 5 euros per towel rental. We were also required to pay for electricity. We had not known about these extra payments when we booked the property. Finally each room had a dusty film over it that set off allergic reactions in several of us. All of that said, we did enjoy the beauty of the location, the very mildly heated pool, and the close access to many quaint towns in this gorgeous part of the French countryside. Its just good to know these things ahead of time.

Ein schönes Haus mit super Ausstattung und wirklich sehr ruhig gelegen! Kanustation in Vitrac und Marche in Sarlat sind in 10 min Fahrzeit erreichbar! Baguette gab es auch jeden Morgen in ca. 500 m Entfernung. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung haben will ist hier richtig!
