excellent home in a convenient location. Hosts were great. It took us a little while to figure out the thermostats but once we figured it out we were super comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a comfortable family spot close to the mountain.

The thermostat is a new smart stat that we can check on the temperature remotely. So I can see how it was a bit different. I hope you found the instructions typed within the welcome document on the table.
Glad you had an amazing time and we hope to host your crew again!
The large amount of deposit was unusual for us and the house is a little old for the price ie. can’t lock one of the bathroom doors, but great overall!
The Sugarloaf Chalet was a perfect spot to begin 2023. Home was nicely kept up and close to the mountain. Owners were available and happy to answer questions quickly. Happy we chose the chalet and would recommend the home for families or couples looking to be close to Sugarloaf and to take advantage of beautiful Maine.
From the cool tranquil river across the street to the TWO! waterfalls that are both within a 10 minute drive this location was perfect. Early morning coffee on the deck, lots of games for the rainy days. We went white water rafting nearby, rented ATV's and hiked to a couple of waterfalls one of them was also a swimming hole with lots of places to swim. Flaggstaff Lake is a 15 minute drive for fishing/kayaking/paddleboarding. Overall a great location and perfect base for our Maine adventures. Amanda was very responsive to a couple of questions we had when arriving.

Thanks Michael, we’d love to have you and your family back anytime!
Property was amazing. Upon entering it was like a home away from home. Exactly what was stated. Property owners made themselves so ready available to any questions or needs. Family spent the week skiing at Sugarloaf. Awesome time, great snow, perfect place with everything you need, accessible owner…..what more could you ask for. 10 out of 10 is just not enough.
Thank you so much Amanda

About the host

My husband and I purchased this home in 2018 for our family. It was a fixer-upper and every room has been remodeled by my husband. We hope you enjoy the upgrades and the private, secluded home as much as our family does.
Why they chose this property
We have grown up skiing and riding at Sugarloaf and we wanted our children to have the same experience as we did!
What makes this property unique
Private house, set back from the road without neighbors.
