This house was awesome, beautiful views from the front porch and back porch, lots of items provided by the host (thanks Travis!) and it was so clean. Plus we had some visitors….a couple of deer and a fox! The next time we need a rental in that area we will definitely rent this house again!

This home was perfectly located for a family wedding in the area. Travis and Kristin were super responsive in their communication. Bonus was the doe and her two fawn's keeping cool under the trees on the property.

This property & host were exceptional and well worth the money. Unbelievably well-stocked. Very easy access and within minutes of all that we wanted or needed yet seemed very remote and in the middle of nature. This is the kind of place to rent to stay “home” and just relax! If you want to spend money on touristy stuff and places then get in the middle of them! If you want a true vacation with hours of relaxation, then this is the place for you! Travis is a true host!

The house was well stocked and comfortable. The hosts were the perfect amount of checking in, but not being overbearing. Our family will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Travis & Kristin!

Comfortable home and beds. My son appreciated the snacks. My husband appreciated the coffee pods. I would have given 5 stars except the kitchen was lacking in basics. No pepper, no aluminum foil, no syran wrap, no olive oil. I guess there is now as we had to buy it all and left it, along with napkins, baking soda, baking powder, ziplock bags. A full set of measuring cups and spoons would be helpful as well.

We absolutely loved our stay in the cabin! We came for a family vacation and booked this property for the country living and it did not disappoint! It was super clean, fully stocked (cooking utensils, towels for hot tub, toys for kids and even had some snacks), had plenty of space (4 adults 4 kids) and was just all around a great place to stay! Our last morning here it even snowed!! We will absolutely be back!
The deer come out between 9 and 10AM!

We had such a lovely stay here while hosting family in town for graduation. The house was spotless, peaceful, and had plenty of room for everyone to be together comfortably. We really loved the quiet Black Forest setting — seeing deer and a fox around the property made it feel extra special, and it was so nice to be away from city noise while still being close enough to town for anything we needed. The hot tub was a huge plus, and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked for cooking family meals together. Overall, it felt warm, relaxing, and easy from start to finish. Would definitely stay again.

I was absolutely amazed at the simplicity of check-in, the quality of the home, and the ease of operation of everything and all the amenities provided in this rental. I was able to facilitate an environment that far exceeded all of my friends' (who I haven't seen in a long time) expectations. The house provided an atmosphere that was homey and welcoming to the adults and kids. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, barbecue, and the kids loved having the entire downstairs with three beds, games and a giant screen. Appreciated the little touches like cooking oil and spices and coffee station. It was on a beautiful piece of land in a quiet part of Black Forest that was undisturbed by the city goings of what Colorado Springs has turned into. But yet, it allowed ease of access to all the tourist things that Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas of El Paso County have to offer. We enjoyed cripple creek, manitou springs, the cliff dwellings and a deep expedition into cave of the winds as well as royal gorge and garden of the gods. Definitely would book again.

Fun in the Forest

We rented this house for a young family with their grandmothers and everyone enjoyed and appreciated the layout of the house and all the furnishings. The toys and play things in the basement were very appreciated.
