Our family absolutely LOVED this property! Directions were easy to follow and close to many activities. Check-in and out was simple. Place was well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms! Beautifully designed and decorated. Easily accommodated 6 adults. Washer and dryer made it easy to not come home with a suitcase full of dirty laundry. We enjoyed the lake somehow everyday, from morning and/or night fishing, floating around on the dock, or kayak races. Definitely recommend!
This place was exactly what me and my family were looking for. There were so many things to do within 20 minutes but the cabin was great too so there wasnt a need to be anywhere else.
We loved it.
It was fun going on the lake with the boats and playing the yard games and sitting around the fire in the evenings.
It’s a great location to stay for dune and TC outings as well.
The cottage was really nice! Welcoming, comfortable and the little touches were so thoughtful. Wine, cookies, smore supplies, etc were appreciated. We've stayed at quite a few vrbo's and most don't do things like that. The view of the lake and quiet atmosphere were much needed. We would recommend Witz End for a nice relaxing stay!
Lovely, quiet location and the lake was perfect for my husband to fish and my children and dog to swim in!! It was really fun to see all the turtles! We loved the outdoor ladder golf game and fire pit under the string lights. Would definitely stay there again if we make it back up to Interlochen. Thank you!!
Our 4 kids and their cousins fished, swam, boated, and played in the yard while the adults enjoyed the fire and sunroom. The lake is very small with a mucky bottom, but the kids caught so many fish with the provided gear. Clean and well appointed. We definitely recommend this property!
Be aware that there are no blankets/comforters provided and the grill isnt in great shape (that wasnt a huge deal, but a nicer grill would offset the lack of a stove).
We stayed with our senior pups with medical issues. The cabin was wonderful and peaceful and no stairs that I had to worry about for the pup. The boats and kayaks were great for exploring the little lake and lots of small fish were caught. The firepit was great and we made smores which I havent had in years. Bed was very comfortable. All the little extras provided were very much appreciated. Location was good to get to many different sight seeing spots in any direction. Will book again when we travel back to the state.
We stayed here for five nights in July, the weather was perfect almost the entire time to sit out on the dock and to have a fire in the evening. The host responded quickly to our text and were kind to let us have some family over for a fire. Location was great for all the recreation we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again. As far as cons, the house could really use a deep clean, there were spider webs behind the toilet, in the corners etc, and the floors needed mopped good. Also a light above the kitchen sink is needed.
This place was special. We loved it, the dogs loved it, and we had such a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The lake is tiny and absolutely gorgeous. The dogs loved to go for a swim bday we even took the rowboat out once to get a better look at the fall colors. We hardly saw another human being from the neighboring properties the entire week we were there, and that was perfect for us. The house was small, but cozy. The only thing missing was a stovetop and oven, but we brought a hot plate and that worked just fine. The small fenced in potty area for the dogs was something I didn’t realize they had until we got there, and it was such a relief to not have to go outside with the dogs or put them on tie outs every time. Privacy, seclusion, dog friendly, nature, and yet close to so many great things in the area. I honestly just wish we were buying the house next door. We loved it here and will absolutely be back.
We had a fantastic time at this rental! Great little cabin, beautiful lake, and lots of wildlife to be spotted. They had all the amenities including a row boat and kayaks which we used several times and greatly enjoyed. The fire pit was awesome and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area. The inside was small but very comfortable, with a comfy bathroom. Great kitchen even for not having a stove- the full size fridge and freezer was great compared to other options we had looked at. Leah was very communicative, responsive, and helpful. We are looking forward to staying there again sometime!
Had a great time hitting up the dunes and lake Michigan, great place to come back to and relax after a long day...kids loved all the fish and turtles in the lake
we wanted to do something spur of the moment in the traverse city area and this centrally placed location popped up. it was so peaceful and relaxing and easy to get to some of the attractions in the area.
