After having a fun day outdoors, relax in the hot tub or chill in the great room with seasonal views of Sugarloaf Mountain while the kids have a blast in the downstairs game room! This contemporary ski lodge is perfect for groups or families, especially those with pets. Well-equipped kitchen is perfect for family and group dinners - more fun and less expensive than eating at a restaurant.

In winter, Sugarloaf mountain is 10 minutes away - some of New England's best skiing. The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center has 30 miles / 55 km of maintained, groomed country / snowshoeing trails, and outdoor ice rink. Heated mud room and boot dryers ensure that your equipment is always warm and ready. And if you have an EV, you can recharge on our Level 2 charger (provides 40 A) and take a break from range anxiety.

In spring/summer/fall, enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, golf (at the beautiful, Robert Trent Jones designed Sugarloaf Golf Club) and frisbee golf (starts near base lodge, is a nice hike too). Relax on the spacious deck or enjoy a fire at the fire pit while grilling dinner on the deck.

Greg, Joanna, and their son Alex own Loafer's Lodge together because they love the Carrabassett Valley, particularly in wintertime. All of us are avid skiers and love to be on the slopes of Sugarloaf, particularly the Narrow Guage trail for Alex because it is the perfect trail to lay down arcs as a former ski racer. When not skiing, we love the serenity of snowshoeing through the forest after a fresh snowfall (perfect for wind-hold days).

Why they chose this property

Sugarloaf is our favorite place to ski in the east! When we saw Loafers' Lodge, we knew it was the perfect place to make family memories for generations to come. The hot tub is a huge bonus after a hard day on the mountain. We have great views of the mountain while still feeling like a private setting.
