We enjoyed a relaxing week in this beautiful cabin! The cabin was very comfortable with excellent views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and evening bonfires. We sat on the deck and watched the loons fish. We also enjoyed bird watching and listening the owls!
The property was exactly as it was presented. Clean, Peaceful and Quiet! It is the perfect spot for going "almost off the grid". It was fun watching a Loon family swim by morning and night. The host was available via text for any question or issue--very quick response.
Nice place on the little lake. Beds were super comfortable. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was wonderful. Nice amount of property, dog and kids had lots of room to run. Kitchen was nice. We made most of our meals right there. Rodgers City and Oquioc Falls are a short drive away.
Property exactly as stated. No surprises. Loved the paintings & artwork in the Cabin. We were there to train our Labradors and the Pro Trainer was just a short drive away. Nice Neighbors also loved Dogs. We were honest about our Dogs with Trish and respected their little piece of Heaven on the Lake.
Thank you, Trish, for your warm hospitality.
The cottage was very cozy and the lake was very inviting. The quietness is unbelievable. Hearing loons in the morning and evening was peaceful. So many deer and critters to watch.
The cabin was very nice and the couches were very comfortable and the kitchen was awesome but the bed in the master bedroom was very old and not comfortable at all felt like the springs we were sleeping on springs and it hurt my back and my wife's back and in the bathroom the toilet leaked water onto the floor. It was a great place to stay with my granddaughters the beach and being on the lake was awesome and the sunrise and sunset were amazing. It was a awesome cabin to take your family and there was a really nice beach down the road where my granddaughters played in the water most of the day and the owner of the property was very responsive with all of my questions and issues we had. It was a wonderful place to stay. Thank you.
Spent a week at the cottage on Lake Louise with my spouse. We liked the peaceful view and is a great place to kayak. Bring your floats as the lake bottom is not very sandy. We enjoyed fishing for Bass off the dock and fished some of the other small lakes in the area.
Spent time on the porch reading. Surprisingly we received a better cell phone signal (AT&T) on the porch than at our home on the suburbs. We especially liked the new appliances and the use of a washer and dryer.
It’s an easy day trip to Mackinaw Island and Ocqueoc Falls is close by.
On the way home my spouse asked if we could book again for next year.
Great communication from hostess- property was just what we were looking for and needed for the week. We were looking for domestic winter peace and solitude- but we will definitely return in the summer and utilize the no wake lake with our kids! This property is convenient to Mackinaw City and Petoskey/Lake Michigan. And Lake Superior? Just 2 hours.
I recommend to anyone looking to visit several places but stay in a nice rural area. You will have to drive about 20 minutes to get to a regular grocery store, but the drive toward Lake Huron is a beautiful drive! We'll be back!

Why they chose this property
You can feel the love here. I fell in love with my late husband up here not once, or twice, but three times. The peacefulness and nature all around was and continues to be enthralling. The second time was a very romantic snowmobiling trip on New Year's Eve 1990 and afterwards we had champagne toasts to bring in the new year. The third time was bringing our boys up with us to enjoy this raw beauty. The love that went into making sure they had a good time.
What makes this property unique
No big crowds here. This area is really off the grid and sparsely populated and hundreds of thousands of acres of state land (remember to leave no trace). Great for all kinds of outdoor activities: Fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, snow-shoeing, X-country skiing, off-road motor sports, snowmobiling and wildlife viewing. Millersburg is known for snowmobiling! Lake Louise is a private no wake lake. There are a pair of loons that are there all summer and a rogue elk herd in the area. Locals have seen them and I've heard them bellowing early early in the morning. Bald eagle nests can be found near Big Cut (Millersburg Park) and lots of white tail deer.
