Not What we expected….

We thought the scenery was great and Bob was great during our check in. The pictures of the rooms in the VRBO ads were dramatically different (better) than reality. Place needs much repair and would not advise folks to go there in the summer (no AC). Great location but would never go back.

The Quintessential Comfort Food of Vacation Resorts

This cozy mountain retreat offers a full array of guest services, including concierge and housekeeping services, as well as an expansive restaurant and bar with great views and delicious dinner offerings. Even better, a top notch lodge staff that puts their customers first. They had my friend and I at our initial check-in with their welcoming smiles. Other perks include a sizeable pool with lounge chairs, a hot tub and self-service BBQ area, fireplaces to relax by, and a game room with a library and variety of activities for the entire family. Rooms are spacious and clean, and many offer balcony access for guests to take in the crisp mountain air and area wildlife. In addition to ample parking and rustic charm, the rooms and suites, many with kitchens, are affordable. The Historic Crags Lodge is a vacay destination to die for.

Friendly staff and lodge with charming character

We felt so taken care of at this lodge. The staff was super kind and accomodating. The room was very small for two adults and two small kids. But we really enoyed the common areas in the lobby area, the fireplace, hot tub and charm of the historic building. The kitchenette was great for small meals. You definitely want 4 wheel drive in the winter to get up the hill in the snow.
