We had a really wonderful time, the cabin has everything you ever need, absolutely loved the place. The decorations of the interior is really awesome, we will be definitely coming back next year.

Relaxing, clean home near lots of hiking

We had a great time! Our dog loved running around the property and the views were amazing. There's plenty of outdoor activities nearby, and the house was beautiful.

Beautiful scenery

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location was within 15 minutes from Suny Delhi where we visited our son for family weekend. The house is located in a beautiful and serene location and we were able to see the first signs fall with of all the trees changing colors. Host was easily accessible as well.

Quiet and peaceful

Our time at Hamden Hill House was a nice little getaway. The quietness of the surrounded towns is nice to enjoy the peace & quiet. Since it was summer and there is no air conditioning at points it did get hot. Everything else was wonderful though.

Picturesque Western Catskills

My husband and I enjoyed the rest and relaxation in this cozy cottage in a picturesque setting. Location is about 20-30 minute (beautiful!) drive from several cute Catskill towns and Oneonta, where our son was playing baseball. We truly unplugged in this cozy home. Highlight was sitting by a fire enjoying a delicious charcuterie board/wine (go to Good Taste Epicurian Market in Franklin!). Thanks for hosting us!

The owner/ property manager was fine. The property itself was very worn and needs some maintenance. It had a handicapped shower (seat and all) with a half of a shower curtain. It was extremely hot during the day Inside. The outside of the structure needs some tending to also, the wood is deteriorating.It is NOT close to the baseball fields if that what youre there for. 15 miles equals 45 mins. When I brought up this up to the manager of how this is not what we expected and asked for a refund she would do so.What was disturbing to me and my family the most was the “art work”. There is three pictures on the wall hanging which depict soul takers which I think are from some sort of Indian tribe titled “Diablos de Coyantes” and “Muerteada”, which means devil of the Coyantes and death bringer. We did not appreciate that or the meaning.Service is none existent and good luck finding your way back without a map or service. Thank goodness I remember some of landmarks.

First, regarding the artwork: the pieces are original works by Jose Fuentes, a respected traditional Mexican folk artist whose work is curated and distributed internationally. A Muerteada is a vibrant, theatrical neighborhood celebration that takes place during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), particularly famous in the Etla Valley region of Oaxaca. We always want guests to feel comfortable, and we also believe it is important to understand the cultural context and origins of artwork before publicly characterizing it. Regarding your other concerns: the All Star Village shows on the listing as being 54 minutes from the house based on VRBO's mapping; it is actually a 38-minute drive. This distance, along with aerial photos of the rural setting, was visible before you booked. We completely understand that you would have preferred to be closer to the park and in an area with more conveniences around it, but that is not the home you chose. The listing clearly describes a rural property without AC and with limited cell service, and includes a map. We take our responsibility seriously when it comes to providing accurate pictures, descriptions, and amenities, and we encourage all guests to review those details carefully to ensure a property is the right fit before booking.

The perfect place for a summer getaway!

Our stay was nothing less than magical. We found all kinds of surprises we didn’t know we needed, including great cooking gear, a fire pit surrounded by fireflies, and ripe raspberries all over the property. We were there for some very hot days but everything cooled off at night. We loved the games that were available and the views were incredible, not to mention the astounding rainbow that appeared across the entire valley after a refreshing rain. Kim was responsive and kind and answered our accessibility questions promptly. Having a wheelchair accessible, rustic but modern and comfortable cabin was just what we needed! We will be back for another visit soon for sure! Thanks to the hosts for a great stay!

Thank you for your wonderful review! It's great to know that we have everything you need, just in case you don't want to leave. Of course, if you do there are some amazing places to visit nearby. The summer was just perfect, the rainbows were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I will be putting your picture on Instagram (busy enjoying summer myself). While we didn't have a lot of rain, this is actually good for raspberries. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy them. And I'm so happy that being wheel chair accessible worked for you. Especially with so many older homes in the area, it can be hard to find ones that are accessible. FYI, we keep the ramp shoveled in the winter! I hope to host you again.
