Easy instructions for checking in, good directions to find home. Everything we could have wanted and more was available in the kitchen. Comfortable beds.
We stayed here a couple nights during our visit to Olympic NP. Location is great and the space was perfect for our small group of 4 adults and an infant.
An absolutely amazing stay! VERY spacious rooms, comfy beds, very clean place, beautiful surroundings, the attention to detail was superb! Will definitely stay again!
Very clean and spacious, communication with host was exceptional. Animals on the property were a bonus. Nice retreat and will return again if in this area!!
They thought of everything you need for a great getaway! First of all, it's nicely decorated and huge (much bigger than our 2 bedroom condo!). The kitchen had all necessary utensils, pans, spices, oil, condiments, etc. The bathroom had shampoo, etc. And then there was the enjoyment of seeing deer eating in the yard as we ate breakfast and sometimes dinner as well. We'd definitely stay again.
Spacious, cozy, organized and very well equipped space to enjoy a family vacation. Secluded spot but still close to shops and olympic national park. Also had a high chair and pack n play which came in handy for our toddler.
The hosts were nice enough to let us drop our bags off earlier than the check in time when we got to town. Overall clean and well stocked with anything you might need
This was the best VRBO I have ever stayed at. The pictures are exactly what you get. Then you get more. There is nothing that is missing, from the ammenities in the bathroom to a full kitchen, including a spice rack to cook with. The property is beautiful, the home is welcoming, and the host, Susan, is friendly and helpful. I would go back here as many times as I am in the area. I would never stay anywhere else. I only wish I could give 10 stars.
On a road trip to explore WA's National Parks, this property served as home base for our Olympic NP adventures. It was very clean and the bedrooms were spacious. Supplies were well stocked and the kitchen had everything we needed. (Everything was also labeled which made my label-maker heart happy!) We looked forward to our nightly visits from a family of deer and the hosts also let us hang out with their chickens! Overall, wonderful stay. And Olympic National Park wasn't too shabby, either!
Growing up on a farm there was always animals to watch plus peace and quiet. Mix that with caring and friendly people and that is exactly what you have here. Loved waking up with the wild animals, hearing the chickens , tree limbs moving in the wind, so peaceful! Jesse was great, very friendly and wanting to make sure we were happy with the rental. Staying at many VRBO’s this was the cleanest yet, kitchen was set up nicely. Is on our list of “will return”. We didn’t get to meet Susan, but hopefully during a future stay we will. Thank you for sharing your property Jesse!
The words spacious are thrown around multiple times and that's an outrite lie. For example you can't have people sitting at the dininroom table abs then also try to open the fridge there's not enough room. Also it's not clear from the listing that there are people that live in the house above. Its also listed as 17 acres but most of that is on an inaccessible ravine that's full of thick unsuable trees.

Quote from our listing: "Jesse is your host in upper unit." The table has comfortably seated several 6-person parties. 17 acres is 17 acres--those acres provide the privacy of our site. We do recommend that you read our property description and photos carefully.
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Park. The lower level of the house was where our rooms were. We had a great view out the sliding glass door and the huge windows in the master bathroom. The rooms were large and spacious. The carpets were very soft, my daughter loved them. We saw several deer in the yard and it was a nice distance from the town of Port Angelese.
We arrived a little late the first night and got a little confused about where to park since it was dark, but we quickly found the spot we were supposed to park. Too much sightseeing in one day.
There were nice fluffy towels for the shower. A nice washer and dryer. A Keurig coffee pot with pods and creamer packs. A full sized fridge. It was a very nice property. I also noticed there were several baby items in the storage room which I would have appreciated if my kids were younger.
We spent one day at Sol Duc hot springs and waterfall. The next we checked out we spent time in downtown Port Angelese. Feiro Marine Life Center was a great stop with kids. They had little touch pools and great staff. We also stopped at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge which is only a few minutes away. Go at low tide.
Hosts were great with communication and really care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The property was best stocked Vrbo we’ve ever stayed at. I appreciated the welcoming snacks, slippers, and well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed a fire in the yard and our stay. Thank you.
Nice and clean place to stay with everything provided. Clear communication from the host. We stayed here with a family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed the house and garden.

Longtime travelers opening our first rental on the ground floor of our home in Port Angeles. We have tried to add every comfort and amenity that we missed in all the vacation rentals we have stayed in. We have furnished our unit for your comfort and convenience.
Why they chose this property
We have lived on and visited the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park with our family for many years. Our family retreat sits on 17 acres with views of trees, mountains, and visiting deer. We are eager to share the Peninsula's many natural wonders with visitors from around the world.
What makes this property unique
Deer Park Retreat is a secluded and private rural adventure. It is located in the Olympic Rainshadow, a small area of the Olympic Peninsula protected by Mount Olympus from weather coming off the Pacific Ocean. We consistently get less rain and brighter skies than the rest of the Peninsula and Western Washington.
While very private, we are only 2 miles from Highway 101, the main east-west thoroughfare across the Peninsula. We are about 10 minutes from eastern Port Angeles (Walmart, Safeway) and about 20 minutes from Sequim (shopping, lavender fields, game reserve). We are close to an entrance to the national park, 50 minutes to the top of Hurricane Ridge or Lake Crescent, and 1.5 hours from Washington's wild ocean beaches and the enchanting Hoh Rainforest.
