Cozy vintage hilltop getaway - great Poconos location!
Welcome to Little Bear, our cozy vintage trailer in the woods. We hope you'll be comfortable and feel at home here.
A perfect getaway 90 minutes from NYC
This 1950's vintage mobile home was the house of the future 65 years ago. Live the future now while escaping from the present!
Little Bear can sleep 4-5 in 2 bedrooms plus a comfy fold out couch. In warm weather a plush king size airbed can sleep 2 more on the screen porch.
The eat-in kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. There's a supermarket 5 minutes away and the nearby town of Milford has some great restaurants -- ask us for recommendations.
The extra-large screened porch is perfect for a summer dinner party or lazing away the afternoon with a good book. Or make your coworkers jealous on Zoom -- fast wifi makes Little Bear ideal for a working vacation too.
Have a campfire under the stars (which you can actually see!) around the firepit.
Near dozens of hiking trails, spectacular waterfalls, and forest swimming holes.
Just 5 minutes from the Delaware river. Little Bear is a great home base for a canoeing, kayaking, or rafting adventure!
Nearby attractions include the Delaware river, Delaware Water Gap national recreation area, Childs Park, Dingmans falls, Pocono Environmental Education Center, Peters Valley School of Craft, Shawnee Mountain ski area, Camelback ski mountain/waterpark, and the town of Milford, PA.
Please note:
**Little Bear is at the top of a hill with a badly maintained dirt/gravel road. Use caution and drive slowly! In winter the road is not always passable to cars without 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. 4 wheel/all wheel drive is a MUST if you are planning a visit in snowy or icy conditions. If you think this might apply to your stay with us, please get in touch!
**This cabin is located in the woods, surrounded by critters. Despite regular pest control and our very best efforts, occasionally bugs or other flora/fauna DO work their way inside. We recommend keeping the screen door closed to minimize this. We don't give refunds for wildlife sightings.

We stayed here to get away from the city and get some well needed quiet. Accommodations were exactly as described if not better. Host was very quick to respond to any questions we had and gave great recommendations. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
We enjoyed our stay at Cozy vintage hilltop getaway - great Poconos location! We were back to visit relatives in Dingmans Ferry. It was perfect for my wife and I along with our pups after long days of visits, dinners and parties. Everything one needs for a weeks stay or weekend.Great for a country getaway that is far from the hustle and
I had to get away for a week to concentrate on some work, and it was perfect! Quiet, beautiful, the perfect size for me and my pup. I would definitely recommend, and would stay again! And the hosts were very kind and helpful when I locked myself out in the middle of the night!
Beautiful location away from it all (but not really). It was the perfect location close to many amazing hiking trails, nature centers and forest swim holes! Shana was communicative and responded quickly to my texts. My family had great time and I would recommend this place.
We stayed for Labor Day Weekend - property was just as described, location was peaceful and accommodations cozy! Loved the porch, hammock and fire pit outside. Kids enjoyed as well. Host super responsive and helpful. Would recommend!
The house and view were wonderful and the host was a big help and replied very fast, the house was completely clean when we got there and it was very accommodating, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay.
By no means a luxury but everything was just as advertised. The place was clean, and had all we needed as far as linens, and kitchen essentials. The owner responded promptly and ready to assist. Only thing to keep in mind is the road to get to the house is quite bumpy, bunch of craters. Our Subaru did fine though. I would consider staying again in the future.
The stay was just what we expected! It was so nice to relax in the woods and the house was close to everything we needed. The owners were communicative and easy to reach. They allow dogs, which is hard to find and sooo nice! They provided blankets to protect the furniture from said pets, but they were very small. larger blankets would be better suited, especially since the sofa on the patio is so large. The smoke detector is very sensitive (which is great in general) and right by the stove. It went off while sautéeing veggies on a medium heat. It’s a new type model of smoke detector and we didn’t know how to turn it off. Fanning it got it to stop after a while. I’m autistic, so loud sounds can be very hard for me. The owners provided very detailed instructions for the space and a quick line about how they work added to it would be helpful for folks like me.
We found the property to be a described. We visited the various water falls in Pike County and had a great time. The kids actually loved that it is a vintage trailer...and we all loved the porch! Shana is amazing at answering messages immediately AND sending information about the area! Our only complaint is running out of hot water before we all showered at night! :) I firgure if that's the only complaint from teens and a pre-teen then it's a WIN for us!!
Loved our stay. Property is simply charming and perfect for our need for a weekend getaway.
All photos are accurate to what the home and grounds are.
The owner responded to all emails/ questions quickly and provided all information that we needed.
The roads coming into the neighborhood are rough and unpaved as the owner stresses, so take care and time driving in, but it is worth it for a peaceful retreat.
So many little extras- plenty of linens, towels and blankets if it gets cool, kitchen holds everything you need to cook or grill any food you bring and the firepit area was great for s'mores and just relaxing.
We also really loved the selection of board games that we played on the screened in porch.
Would stay here again and recommend highly.
