Party Palace

This is not the place to stay for a family, but would be great for a bachelor/bachelorette party. This list of bad things is long but I’ll hit the top problems: lots of strange characters in the building, homeless living in the parking garage, no moving cart, dirty apartment (yes this is a low end apartment building, not a private condo), elevator to PH was broken so take the stairs), no smoke detectors, party with doors open 24/7 on floor 15 which you need to get off on and take the stairs to the PH, stairways are used as a smoking area and the smoke is thick and smells like piss, garbage all over the basement floor and around the garbage container outside the building, dog owners do not pick up their mess in the dog areas outside are disgusting, would not recommend swimming in the pool. The building in my opinion needs so much maintenance that it should be torn down. I was very disappointed as I wanted to have our grandchildren stay with us and use the pool/go to the beach; we did not feel safe enough here to bring our grandchildren and I really wished I would have been armed.

Mayflower trip

Property mgr did not reply to any requests. Candace replied well during booking but that was the only communication. Dirty towels in laundry bin upon arrival. No laundry or dishwasher detergent Floors were dust y and had pet hair No garbage liners. I asked Rosa. They didn’t have any. No paper towels or tissues in the unit No instructions on garbage drop HVAC issues Master bedroom was chilly with heat on. No instructions if fireplaces functioned Only one washcloth. No TV instructions No dish soap or kitchen cooking products Several lamps throughout and in the bathrooms need replaced. Ceiling fan remotes didn’t function Vibration on the floor thru out the day. Location was great. 1/3 block to the boardwalk. Sliding glass door handle was loose Door on the master bathroom 3 hinges was about to fall off. Most rentals have a set of instructions, this unit had none. It was in the penthouse floor. Great view. A modest investment to fix issues in the unit and some basic supplies would make this a great place. I have stayed in units in 5 countries. This ranked near the bottom. I would not return without significant improvements. Thanks, Tim

Spacious penthouse

Older building but apartment was quite impressive. Photos are pretty spot on. Some maintenance and cleaning issues, such as toilet flush, barely any towels upon arrival and the few that were there were not clean, floor tile on balcony are all loose, clogged sink, and missing grille on one AC vent. Mgmt is fast to respond but we didn’t bother them for items my husband was able to fix himself. A thorough cleaning and inspection prior to rental would really benefit future rental opportunities. Open Kitchen is spacious and decently equipped. Again, if cleaning supplies and minor items like trash bags, one large pot and condiments were available, the place could demand more money. One main issue which we figured out on Day 3 of a cold week (Nov) is that the thermostat for the master bedroom is located in the hallway near the living room. It’s an ADT thermostat which we had originally associated to the security alarm company. We eventually realised that it was the bedroom thermostat. It’s particularly oddly located since it will read the temperature in the warm hallway vs the cold bedroom. I’d say housekeeping and cleanliness are the 2 main issues. Common areas of building are old, including elevators, but you don’t spend much time there so it’s acceptable. Location is great…one block from beachfront. Seemed like a relatively safe area. Easy to park in attached garage.
