Excellent location for the Ballon Fiesta. Close to everything but feels like your in the middle of the desert. Very clean and has everything you need.

Amazing experience! They did not miss any detail you could possibly need. The casita was very clean and organized. Everything was labeled clearly and communication with host was instant. Great views of mountains, city lights at night and even morning hot air balloons! The hosts were friendly and made check in and out easy!

We loved it here! Bernie and Mike were the best hosts ever. We saw some interesting wildlife and enjoyed the sunsets, saw some balloons. All and all had a lovely time!

The perfect place for our needs! The casita is attached to the main house with separate entrance. It’s very well maintained and spacious with the added security of the property being gated. Mike and Bernie couldn’t have been more gracious hosts. During a major storm Mike checked to make sure we had everything we needed in case we lost power. A delightful couple we chose to engage with. We’ll be going back to our new home away from home!

Our high desert storms can be frightening at times. Not sure if you were aware that we had a lightning strike in the desert just about 100 yards away from the house. We do have a 40 foot lightning grounding rod in the NE part of the house. This is connected to a surge suppressing system for our electronics. We are happy your experience at our Casita was great. We look forward to seeing you again in the future and thank you for your business... and also for leaving the place immaculately clean. Our doors are always open to you guys, Safe travels.

We had an amazing stay at the Southwest Casita! Mike and Bernie were very sweet and helpful. The little casita had everything you could ask for! Even frosted beer mugs in the freezer. I was very impressed with that little touch. Haha. The views were outstanding. We had lived in this area before so it was nice to be back in the high desert of New Mexico. The bed was comfy. The shower was great! Nice to have a washer and dryer. Thank you again for a lovely stay. We would definitely stay here again. 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

The property owners had great communication but also gave us privacy. There were plenty of clean linens and towels. Kitchen was clean and provided everything we needed to cook meals- grill on the back patio was a huge bonus. On Saturday morning we saw hot air balloons while sitting out back. Overall fun and enjoyable experience!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were lovely, comfortable, with everything we needed to have a great visit with friends and family. The Sounds of Nature from the birds and animals brought quiet moments of special peace.The hosts were so caring, and we shared special time and social interactions with them! Well maintained and beautiful stay just a step outside the city and beautiful views, very comfortable and clean and the hosts are extremely nice and helpfulDespite being along the main house, its well and private, and nice and quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again in the future

What a wonderful stay we had at the casita. It is set up with a guest's every need in mind. The decor is cheerful and welcoming -the whole place is excellently appointed. The hosts were available for any questions or concerns and could not have been more helpful, yet they were not intrusive. The sunset views are stunning. We had an easy drive to anything we needed in town. There is no doubt that we will stay at this delightful place on our next visit to Rio.

Work and Play in Rio Rancho!

Awesome place to stay for work and fun! Hosts were nice, helpful, and friendly during our stay. Would definitely stay again! The casita was extremely nice and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
