Merwick Cottage: Contemporary Coastal Living & Iconic Island Views

Perched atop a rise overlooking the sparkling waters of Sheepscot Bay, Merwick Cottage is a beautiful two-story contemporary retreat with a deep family history. The owners' family has been coming to Georgetown for generations, and now they invite you to create your own memories in this light-filled home where panoramic ocean views and salt breezes are part of everyday life.

Charming Features
Panoramic Atlantic Views: With generous windows and an open-concept design, you can enjoy the view of Sheepscot Bay and the open Atlantic from the living room, master bedroom, and two private decks.
Private Dock & Float: Head down the expansive sloping lawn to your private dock and 200 feet of rocky shoreline. It's the perfect spot to launch a kayak, fish, or simply watch lobster boats and yachts cruise the channel. (Float available mid-June to mid-September).
Birdwatcher's Paradise: Keep an eye on the channel marker directly in front of the cottage — it's home to a local osprey nest! You can often watch the nestlings grow throughout the summer months.
Modern Coastal Interior: The contemporary design features sliding glass doors that bring the outdoors in, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living area featuring a Roku TV (bring your own subscriptions) for movie nights.
Convenient Lower Level: The lower level features a 3/4 bathroom along with the laundry facilities.

Georgetown Hiking: Explore the miles of trails at the Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary or hike to the summit of Higgins Mountain for views of the surrounding islands.
