N. Shore Maui -Kuau Studio by the beach

You can't beat the location: Kuau Makai Studio is just a few steps away from Mama's Beach in a quaint and quiet neighborhood where it is still a pleasure to walk about.
From the parking area you only need to climb a flight of stairs to reach your private entry into a spacious luminous studio. You'll enjoy sitting in the evenings on the lanai that looks through the palm trees towards the beach.
In 5 minutes you can drive to Ho'okipa Beach Park and watch world-class windsurfers and kite surfers. Even if you are not into water sports it's an amazing spectacle, not to be missed! If you are into water sports, you can surf from the neighborhood beach (intermediate or expert), windsurf, wing surf, SUP, etc.
Mama's Fish House is definitely an experience to be had at least once when on Maui, or you can cook your meals at home ! in the town of Paia, less than a mile from the house, you will find several small restaurants and boutiques and get your groceries at one of best natural food stores on the island, Mana Foods, for the nights when you feel like cooking at home!
We have beautiful trade winds and ceiling fans, but no AC.

Great studio in a quiet residential area. Can hear the ocean when windows and patio door are open. Short walk to beach at Mama's Cove. Owner and managers very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Prime location near Mama's beach.

The location can't be beat. Just across the street is a path that leads to a small beach in front of Mama's that's protected by a surf break and often has turtles basking on it. Paia is nearby, with places to eat and Mana Foods for healthy groceries. Upcountry and Twin Falls are close by for quick day trips. The king bed in the studio is very comfortable, and the outdoor shower is nice for rinsing off sand after the beach. The front screen door is difficult to close, and the balcony screen door was warped and coming off the tracks. Other than those issues, the studio is in very good condition. There was a sufficient cross breeze so that AC was not necessary. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay there.
