My daughters (17, 17 & 13) & I stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights & had an absolute blast!! It was the perfect distance from town while also allowing us to have the “away” feel. The cabin was clean, well stocked & had everything we needed. Melissa was quick when I messaged & made the entire vacation so easy, we can’t wait to visit again.
This is the perfect little quiet mountain get away spot! The cabin is so cute and comfortable. There were a ton of thoughtful details in the amenities. We would definitely stay here again!
Everything was warm and inviting. Plenty of room to relax. WIFI was great, and with the Roku TV setup it was nice to unwind at the end of the day. Quiet and a great place overall.
This host is so thoughtful and pays attention to details. The place was very clean with all that you could need. She went the extra mile with New Year’s Eve supplies for us when we arrived! The downside for us was it was a little too cramped for 5 of us, and we had some difficulty sleeping.
The cabin was clean and well stocked with all that we needed. We enjoyed the sweet treats of chocolates left for us. I was thankful for the full stock of coffee, sugar and creamer options. It was the perfect space for our family of three.
Very private. Very peaceful & quiet. Host very personable. All things accessible. Recommend highly. Will stay there again but longer. Very nice, clean & tidy. They go the extra mile.
Perfect place for me, my adult daughter, 12 year old granddaughter and 18 month old son. Plenty of room, clean. The personal touches and attention to detail were great! Love the deck. Anything you might have forgotten is there in the kitchen and bathroom. Great communication from Melissa. Location is just what I was looking for. Remote yet close to everything. We saw lots of wildlife. We will be back!
We just needed a place to lay our heads for the night for our travels, this was a great spot to do it. The beds were comfortable, peaceful setting and had we needed anything Melissa had thought of it all. Thank you for a great stay! We had breakfast at the Buttered biscuit nearby, the portions are massive, you've been warned.
Everything about our stay was awesome. The host was very friendly and the cabin had most anything that would be needed.
Thanks for having us!

About the host
Hosted by Melissa Magruder
I was born in Alabama, but grew up in Missouri. That's where I married and had my 3 children. My husband Mark and I, along with our two sons, vacationed in Asheville, NC in September 2020. After visiting the surrounding areas, we fell in love and just knew we had to live in the mountains! In July of 2021 we began our move to North Carolina from Missouri. I stay home with our boys. Mark is an electrician. We have one grown daughter and she stayed in Missouri. Our family loves traveling, sports, camping, hiking, swimming, hunting..... Anything outdoors! One of our favorite places to visit is Cataloochee Valley! My passion is to provide a safe, clean and comfortable place for families to enjoy their trip to this beautiful area! I absolutely love being a host!
