Sunrise Kirkwood Chalet with Red Cliffs View

Enjoy the tranquil Sierras. Gaze across Kirkwood Valley to Red Cliffs from our large deck & wall of windows.

Our cabin is great to hang with friends and family in the open plan kitchen/dining/living area & loft.

Newly renovated 2nd full bathroom.

In Summer, grill and relax on the deck. Stargaze at night. Explore nearby lakes, hiking and biking.

In Winter, enjoy easy lift access via the free Kirkwood shuttle.

Driveway & garage parking (dependent on snow and plowing). Parking pad is adjacent.

Guests may use the entire house except for the storage area off of the laundry room.

We provide a full kitchen with spices and basic ingredients, as well as pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, etc

The living room has many games as well as books on local recreation and plants, as well as various other books to enjoy while staying in the cabin.

Frisbees for frisbee golf are provided in the bench in the laundry room (see the Kirkwood website for summer frisbee golf course map). A basketball is also provided in the bench in the laundry room.

Guests may not use owner skis, snowboards and show shoes, however the sleds in the garage are available for guest use.

Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Don’t add wood to the fireplace within 4 hours of leaving -A fire will burn down faster by opening the vents -Pull the vents all the way out when leaving, especially if there’s still a smoldering fire
Remove any unused food. Bring garbage and recycling to the Kirkwood dumpsters located off of Loop Road.
Turn off appliances, lights & overhead fans (switch at base of loft stairs) Close & lock doors & windows.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Not a party house. Please be respectful of neighbors. Quiet hours 9pm - 8 am. Minut noise detector is installed.
Please remove shoes in the entry/mudroom before entering house.

The views of the Red Cliffs from the glass front windows were magnificent; has a beautiful deck with furniture to enjoy the outdoors. The home was well stocked with everything you might need.

Beautiful Snowy Getaway

The house was amazing with lots of space for us all and easy access to the mountain. Host was very responsive and easy to work with, we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view; didn’t take in from the picture how many steps up to the main floor we would be carrying everything up…. Our beds were very comfortable! Main floor bathroom ran out of Kleenex and hand soap. The grill outside on the deck was unusable; hadn’t been cleaned. I also had to wash the coffee pot tank out…. Other wise a beautiful quiet place to stay. Thank you!

Comfy place close to Kirkwood Main Village Plaza

Our stay was great at Liz's place, the house is beautiful and we could enjoy shuttle service from and to the Kirkwood ski resort. Only inconvenients were that there was no dishwasher and there was only one shower but other than that everything worked out perfectly, we would definitely stay again.

Kirkwood Review

Overall the house was a nice place to stay, though the master bedroom was very dusty — we had to wipe off the comforter entirely to remove all the dust

Great location, comfortable house

We had a great time in Kirkwood. Enjoyed having the great room and fireplace. Perfect place to share with a family or two. Great selection of board games! Nothing flash but it all works and house gets cosy quickly - we arrived late and it was cold at first. We loved being able to ski to and from the property to Timber Creek (lots of traversing but doable). The shuttle service is an excellent alternative if you’re not up for this. Liz could not have been more helpful or communicative with us.

We had a wonderful stay and Liz, our host, was really attentive and super helpful from beginning to end. The house is at a great location, walking distance to and from the ski report and very close to hiking trails. As a bonus I have today that this is one of the few rentals that I've ever been with a well supplied kitchen with utensils and everything that you need, same goes for the rest of the house. Will definitely come back!

Welcome to wonderful Kirkwood! Our family loves spending time in the cabin and surrounding area, and welcome you and your friends/family to enjoy and feel at home. It goes without saying that the skiing here is amazing, and you can't beat being located in the resort. We have also fallen in love with summer in Kirkwood. The snow melts, and you are in a wonderland with nearby hiking trails, lakes for kayaking, quaint restaurants and carpets of wildflowers.
