Host was very helpful when we lost power (briefly). It was a tranquil spot to retreat to during a packed weekeend of wedding events! Would stay here again when visiting Santa Barbara!

The home and property were beautiful. Usually, homes for rent scale back on decor inside and landscaping on the outside. Not this home. The grounds were incredible, something out of Better Homes & Gardens.. French chateau. The interior had everything we needed plus exquisite decorations from all over the world. Very well maintained and in a perfect, central and safe neighborhood.
This 1920’s cottage home is amazing! It is definitely not for children as it is filled with treasures that appear to be from a lifetime of collecting. It’s a bit eclectic visually but ever so interesting. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and modern. The home was clean and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful gourmet kitchen. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and private. It’s a great location in an upscale neighborhood. We loved our stay in this lovely home.

Inaccurate Description & Unhelpful Host
Inaccurate VRBO website description required my adult daughter & spouse to share an uncomfortable double pullout sofa bed. Website listed: 4 bedrooms for 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Twin, 1 Double Sofa Bed and 1 Queen. I booked the property for three adult couples and 3 month infant and expected a second Queen bed. Upon arrival we couldn't find it and when I messaged the host she said the Queen was the pullout sofa. I told her it was a Double, as accurately described on the website, and she was defensive and asked where I got the description and said "I've never had anybody ever mention expecting three queens." I sent her the website description on 11/27 and she didn't reply. The second Queen was still listed as of 12/5. I requested a rate adjustment, encouraging her by saying I hoped to leave a positive review, and still no reply. It appears the property is owner-occupied when there are no renters since closets, countertops, and drawers are full of personal belongings. Property was surface-clean, though upholstery and drapes were very dusty and this property should be avoided if occupants have allergies. Kitchenware needs a deep clean. Bathrooms had just one roll of toilet paper and no backstock so we had to buy more. Location was a relatively easy walk to town. Beautiful and well maintained yard. This is my first experience with an inaccurate VRBO property description and unhelpful host.

I'm terribly sorry if the description of the property was confusing to you . The bed you state in the den as a full is a queen. I can send you the sleeper couch detail with measurements if you would like to see it? I will adjust the description online line but as I said it has never been an issue with any past guests. It states it sleep 6 people . 2 for the king in the master bedroom #1. 2 for the queen in guest bedroom #2 and 2 for the sleeper couch in the in the den and 1 for the twin.#3 . I pride myself on my 5 star ratings. As you can see from all the reviews. I occasionally stay there but it is mainly a rental property. None of the bedroom closets have personal possessions in them .Bathroom drawers are empty except for hair dryers and disposable tooth brush .for our guests. Please explain where you saw "personal items" in the closets? The extra toilet paper is in the closet with cleaning supplies . There is one drawer in the kitchen that has miscellaneous things in it chargers and plyers, etc. I never received your request for a rate adjustment . I just went through the VRBO comments ,did you send it via VRBO? Also I sent you the check in info for your easy access a couple days before your arrival. But you must not have opened it. I have an excellent cleaning lady, maybe she missed something in the kitchen? Please tell me what needs a deep clean in the kitchen and I will attend to it. I leave coffee and spices in the cabinets for guests. I responded to you for every questions or comment you sent , I don't understand why you said I was unresponsive? Also please show me where you requested an rate adjustment ,I can't find it anywhere. Thank you and I hope you had a wonderful time there other than your stay at my home.
