Fantastic location!

This cottage was perfect in every way! Quality linens, dishes, appliances, and attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay with our grandkids. Caught trout off the dock, and played games til the early morning hours. We will certainly be back to this little slice of heaven on the Watauga river.

I grew up in Virginia but have called Elizabethton home with my husband Zac for about 12 years now. I can't imagine living anywhere else. We love our quaint town that also has so much to do both in town and nearby! Our family loves hiking and going on drives in our area in east Tennessee and western North Carolina. We've been hosting guests here for about 2.5 years now and are excited to have our VRBO page back up!

Why they chose this property

Naturally spending time right on the Watauga River is our favorite thing about the area The Trout House is in, but being located 5-10 minutes from town is a huge plus!

What makes this property unique

Having private river access to relax or fish as well as a cozy, clean home makes this place a great getaway for families, couples, guy's weekends, or the girls' trip that finally makes it out of the chat!
