Cozy Cottage in the Woods

The Cottage is an idyllic private one-bedroom cottage nestled in the woods. The place is equipped with a private queen-sized bedroom; if you need extra room, there is a full-sized pull-out couch in the living room. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and bathroom with a tub and shower exist. Columbia County is the perfect retreat for hikers, hunters, fly fishers, or people who want to relax and unwind and star gaze at night by the fire pit. With a lot to see and do nearby, the Hamlet of Old Chatham, Chatham Village, and East Greenbush offer plenty to do. Lots of hiking. Also, Hancock Shaker Village in Hancock, Massachusetts, is just 15 miles/24 km away. Just a 30-minute drive to Tanglewood, MA, or a 27-minute drive to Jiminy Peak or Bosquet Ski Resorts, or enjoy the quiet, and bright evening sky. The hosts live full-time in the main house. No Smoking or Pets.

Hidden gem

Hands down the best Vrbo stay we ever experienced. The property was well maintained and very peaceful as it’s tucked in a wooded area. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive, especially at check in with a small charcuterie to accompany a chilled bottle of wine after a long day of traveling. The only problem is that we didn’t get to spend enough time there.
