The lakehouse was just that. Beautiful views of the lake and good access to the water.The mattresses were old and uncomfortabe but the rest of the house and furniture was okay. Enjoyed the back porch for the comfort and views. Great for the weekend that we were there in the fall.

Beautiful location. Loved the sunroom- it’s where we spent most of our time! Lots of seating and large kitchen. Fire pit was great for s’mores! Loved the dock to watch sunsets on and the rowboat was a bonus to take some fun pictures in of our newlyweds! The kitchen was spacious and fully stocked! The only small complaints were that a drawer was broken in the kitchen and two mini blinds were broken and not functioning in two bedrooms. Otherwise it’s a wonderful house to rent.

Rustic, Very Quiet

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent a weekend here with extended family. Although there were a few items that need attention, this home is very nice. This rental is managed by a rental company. I informed them of the items that need repair and they said they would take care if. Two items that should be replaced are the refrigerator/freezer and the Weber charcoal grill. Ice maker does not work but bagged ice is provided. Bottom of freezer is in rough shape, and grill is just plain worn out. Break wall, no sand beach. Short climb down steps to get to dock. Everything well furnished in kitchen, bedrooms, living room. Large dining room table in the unheated porch so may not be useful in the winter. House on a very quiet road. Easy check in, written information and instructions provided. Good location between Dunes and Traverse City.

The cottage had several items that didn’t work or were broken. We couldn’t close the door to the twin beds bedroom because a bed blocked the door. We had to move the bed to close the door. The entryway door bolt lock was broken. The view of the lake was obscured by too many trees. The listing showed a tub/shower in one of the bathrooms but there was no tub at all in the property. The kitchen was spacious, had all the important utensils and dinnerware. But the door handles to the refrigerator door were extremely dirty/stained. It is not an ADA compliant property. It is 29 steps down to the dock. The beds are uncomfortable. The two showers are quite small and have no grab bars or seat/ledge. Water pressure was fair. Electrical outlets in many rooms had no ground outlet and therefore non-compliant. We would not recommend this property to anyone, especially because of the cost and lack of upkeep. However the Host was cordial and accommodating.

Great stay!

Husband and I took oldest grandson on a fishing getaway. House was great, very clean! Upstairs mattress was a little too springy but otherwise great. Lake is absolutely stunning and loved the rowboat!

Long Lake Get Away

Great property on Long Lake. Excellent space on waters edge for lounging and going for a swim. Very nice dock for evening sunset views. Cottage was very accommodating for the entire family and grandkids.

Long Lake Cottage

We had a great visit to Long Lake. The cottage had great lake frontage with a dock and we loved the sunroom off the back of the house. The space worked well for 3 adults and 5 kids. The house is definitely dated and does have a bit of a musty smell especially downstairs, but it worked well for us and gave us the good location and beautiful sunsets.

We had plenty of space for all of our guests and everything we needed to make meals and just enjoy each other.
