About this property

Cozy Family-Friendly Riverfront Home. Perfect Setting for All Celebrations!

Experience the river life of Camanche with this completely remodeled 100 year old two story home on the Mississippi. Small house that feels large with lots of seating areas to relax and read a book or take a cat nap. This house has panoramic views up and down the river with a completely new kitchen and new bathrooms. Enjoy the sunrise over the river with all new windows across the backside of the house. Bring your boat as the public boat dock is adjacent to the property or just enjoy watching the boat traffic go by and waving to the friendly boaters. The house is in a perfect location on 1st Street near small parks and the public library and dock. There is a large front porch on the street side where you can sit and watch the many walkers and runners using the bike path.
On the river side of the house there is an open back yard with a picnic table and a small fire pit for fires. The house is also within walking distance to a nearby pub with coffee shops and convenience stores seven short blocks away. This is a house for all seasons! Great for families or group gatherings.

The house was beautiful and the views were the best. We also rented the house right down the street so all our out of town and out of state families coming in town for our father’s funeral could be all together and it worked out perfectly.

Beautiful home, beautiful view, lovely time. Karlee and Gary are great communicators and hosts. We, a group of 4 friends, appreciated their thoughtful touches and intentional care in setting up the property. The winter view is amazing, great for bird (esp. eagle) watching. Cosy and clean! Cozy property with a great view of the Mississippi! Who needs tv? The mattresses were firm and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pantry staples. The hosts were kind and communicative. Will definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Home is maintained beautifully. Appreciated the step by step house instructions. Loved the location as it was peaceful but close enough to stores to get anything you might need. Loved the view of the river from both inside and outside of the home. Kitchen was equipped with all newer appliances and everything you may need. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Family Getaway!!

We had a wonderful time at this charming home on the Mississippi in Camanche! The home was just perfect for my family to catch up and spend together. We spent lots of time watching the wildlife that calls the Mississippi River home and the neighborhood was very quiet and a safe area to stroll in the evenings. We will be back!

Beautiful Riverside Property

We were in town for a funeral and needed space for an unknown number of people and a kitchen to cook for the whole funeral. This place was perfect for that and more. Waking up to a wonderful view of the river every morning was an absolute joy.

We had a great time with family and friends. It was a great place to gather, relax, play games, and have meals. The kitchen was perfect for food prep and there are plenty of spaces to gather together or to sneak away and be alone. It is in an inviting quiet part of town. Property exactly as advertised. All 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds even the bunk beds. Lower bunk was a double bed. The kitchen and bathrooms were all stocked and ready for us. The gas grill, dishwasher, and washer/dryer came in handy. Beautiful view from back of the house and 2 of the bedrooms. This location is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Enjoyable 3 night stay

Very nice, recently renovated home located on a scenic lot adjacent to the Mississippi River. Proprietors were very welcoming and all the amenities were as advertised. My wife and I both worked remotely while visiting and wi fi was great. We walked the neighborhood multiple times and felt very safe.
