John and family were awesome. They left the place clean followed instructions. I couldn't have asked for more. I would have them back anytime!
This was a great property if you’re looking to to stay somewhere quiet but still close to major attractions. It was a lovely home with everything you could need. Some suggestions for your stay is to look for the family of turkeys that wander in and out of the yard in the morning and evening. Also if you love books there is a used bookstore less than 10 minutes away that you could spend hours in (and we did). This home was centrally located to a whale watch in Hyannis, the ferry for Martha’s Vineyard, and beaches all around. The owner was responsive and very welcoming. Wonderful stay!
Perfect getaway for the two of us. Beautiful outdoor space, Mashpee River Woodland park across the street with walking paths for miles along the Mashpee river. Very convenient and close to Mashpee, easy to get to the southern cape, Falmouth, Woods Hole. Well stocked kitchen and great TV watching after a busy day at South Cape Beach or other local activities. Would definitely go back again. And Joe is a great host and was extremely responsive to our questions and needs.
Joe's property is quiet, comfortable, sparkling clean and very well maintained. There were lots of clean fluffy towels, and all the bedding was fresh. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with a few essentials. The backyard is great for playing outdoor games. We used the huge gas grill for several meals. The nearby South Cape Beach is perfect if you like gentle warm waves, good sand, ample parking, and not large crowds. Joe was easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend to anyone with family.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
The property is nice and has potential, but the amount of minor issues we had that could have been avoided if the issues were fixed before listing it. Hot water went out on last night, cold shpwers and laundry, not a big deal but with 3 girls trging to get ready for the last night put, the timing was awful. The part that bothered me most was how the bulb glass was missing on upstairs lamp and my daughter didnt realize. She had been switching it with the metal elements next to her hand. So someobody knew bulb glass was broke bit still worked because it was plugged in. We are so lucky she didnt touch this. It was a decorative bulb with the metal elements all over it supposed to be enclosed.Than the power went out in both bedrooms. Lights and tv flicked and went out. No breakers tripped hour later cme on for 10 min and back out again. Very scary electrical. Both tub drains blocked, wife took apart and cleaned drain so one shower was usable. Cob webs and bugs throughout and to much to list.Lastly the owner messaged me asking if everything was ok besides the electrical. I had to message him when the upstairs power went out, but wasnt going to even bring up all the other stuff. But he asked so i told him some of the stuff i mentioned above. He never even responded, its been a day. So i left review so someone doesnt make the same mistake. If it were cleaner and didnt have all the problems we would probably stay again. Its a great place for a dog also.

The home is professionally cleaned before the guests arrive. This guest was the only one with a problem. He moved the kitchen trashcan discovered a popsicle stick and a wrapper behind the trashcan. He took a picture of it and sent it to me and then left it there. There is an indication of what this person is like. He was very upset. The hot water tank threw a breaker on a very hot day. He never thought to check it. He not only turned that on he turned on the breaker for the electric heat explaining the flickering lights. he overloaded the system running the heat and the air conditioning. The breaker has been replaced and my electrician gave me a clean bill of health.Five adults three females in the house naturally The hair catcher drain will clog after multiple showers. You have to clean it yourself sorry. To say I didn't respond is grossly inaccurate.I not only responded. I gave them a generous refund for their troubles. There is something going on here more than a few Issues which no one else has had this year. The bulb got by me was in my son's room I didn't see it. It's been replaced. There was no danger. I will not have this guest in my house again. There was no pleasing him. He warned my refund better be generous, and after it was sent, there was no thanks or gratitude. They were minor inconveniences, and he blew them out of proportion.
