Phenomenal Stay

The property was 100% as advertised. Clean, modern, well-appointed, and right in the middle of town, walkable to Front beach (3-5 minutes) and Bearskin Neck (3-5 minutes). Bed and couches were comfortable and the kitchen was nicer that you would find in most homes. Rachel the host was amazingly responsive always getting back to us within minutes of any question. The view was phenomenal which you can see in the online pictures. Not negatives, but things to be aware of: 1) There are two steep flights of stairs to get to the apartment so if you are mobility challenged this may not be an ideal space. 2) Across the street is a church that rings out the hour, every hour (i.e. 11 rings at 11 o'clock). We honestly didn't notice it after a while but earplugs or a sound machine would be a good addition to your gear.

Magical retreat by the Ocean

Step away from the busy little town of Rockport and its gorgeous artisan stores, to your very own private Oceanside roof deck above the shops, next to the Shalin Liu performance center. Gorgeous kitchen, WiFi and two smart TV’s met our needs perfectly. Also loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Very responsive host. Only one reserved parking spot but we managed to park our second's car on street near to the reserved spot. If not, use the park and ride as the rest of the on street parking is metered, monitored and competitive. Bring ear plugs if the church clock chiming on the hour at night will bother you, the ocean breeze can also cause the cook top hood vent to knick-nack. Brothers Brew Coffee Shop Is perfect for breakfast or lunch just three stores down. Also highly recommend a trip to the lovely country house overlooking the beach: Castle Hill on the Crane Estate

We love traveling as a guest and getting to experience new places in unique homes. Some of our favorite spots have been in Sarasota, Santa Barbara, and Montreal. Or get as close as possible just by stepping down the stairs and pulling up one of our beach chairs right onto the water.
