This was a very nice house, super clean with a good layout and very well equipped. We have vacationed in several dozen houses and we don’t have a negative thing to say about this one.
Beautiful home, all amenities available. Pool, lanai. Perfect vacation for these times. House was great.

Good location and clean upon arrival. Dated furnishings and could use some general maintenance on master bath toilet and trim as well as sliding door lock to pool area.
THE PROPERTY IS WELL SITUATED TO GET AROUND TO RESTURANTS, WE USED UBER TO GET AROUND WE GOLFED AND DID A FEW DOLPHIN TOURS SO UBER WAS NOT TO PRICEY TO USE. WE LOVED THE POOL. THE HOUSE WAS VERY NICE, ALTHOUGH THE KITCHEN FLOOR, WAS NOT CLEANED VERY WELL UPON OUR ARRIVAL. WOULD STAY AGAIN.
Well, I have to say after reading the previous negative review from a few weeks ago I was certainly skeptical about our upcoming stay. When we arrived at the property we found it to be clean, well lit and exactly as shown in the pictures. We walked everyday in the neighborhood which was beautiful and even spotted a few little owls. The outdoor living space was amazing, just what we were looking for, We enjoyed all of our meals out there and spent our days and evenings at the pool. Kurt was in communication and very responsive with any questions and Manfred the property manager stopped by our first afternoon to let us know he was available if needed. We had no issues or concerns to report, our stay was perfect for the quiet rest and relaxation we were looking for!! I would highly recommend this property. Kim G.

Thank you and you are more than welcome to come back
This house is lovely with a very large living area and nicely furnished. We arrived two hours before the Superbowl game, and we were having trouble finding the channel for the game. We called Manfred, he arrived within 10 minutes and had us all set up in time for the game. (It seems the previous renters had completely mixed up the TV remotes in the wrong rooms and had even put batteries in upside down in one of the remotes.) The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 in "accuracy of online listing" is there were no photos of the bathrooms other than one photo of one of the showers. The reason for this seemed apparent when we saw that the vanity areas in both bathrooms are in need of updating, although they are functional. There were also no clear photos of the kitchen in the online listing, and the kitchen is beautiful. The owner should add a couple of photos of the kitchen. The house was very clean upon arrival, the kitchen is nicely stocked. Overall, we had a very nice stay in this lovely house.

Thank you this review but regarding "more bathroom pictures" is simply wrong as picture 3 is s virtual tour where you can navigate yourself through the entire home including the bathrooms and you see every detail

Host/Owner was rude and disrepectful when addressing issues
This is the first time I've ever reviewed a property online, but felt I needed to comment. There were several issues, but the real problem was the way the host/owner (Kurt) treated us when we brought them to his attention . When we arrived the 1st night there were 10 burned out or missing light bulbs, including no working lights in the master toilet area. (My husband found 2 bulbs and had to climb up on a step-stool, in the dark, to replace them.) There were dirty rugs in the master bedroom, and on the floor in master closet (which I cleaned myself). The baseboards in both bathrooms were filthy, and the garbage disposal wasn’t working. Kurt lives in Germany, but we called his property manager (Manfred) to let him know of the issues, and sent Kurt an email. They both said the cleaners had just been there that afternoon and had said the lights were working when they left. It’s like neither of them believed what we were telling them. Kurt also said we were the only ones who had ever complained about cleanliness as others always gave him good reviews. I told him I had taken pictures of the issues, and Manfred said he was going to use them to get an adjustment from the cleaning company. Instead of thanking us for cleaning and replacing bulbs in the middle of the night, he was basically accusing us of lying. Even with the above issues, I want to say that most of the home, and pool/patio area were updated and beautiful. Overall, it was a good property. However, a couple of days later a cockroach ran across my foot in the master closet. Manfred said since it was cold at night they will try to come inside. We weren't happy about his explanation, but didn't say anything to Kurt until we saw the 2nd HUGE cockroach run across the living room floor two days later. We then told Kurt we were uncomfortable having to worry about cockroaches crawling around, and that if we saw another one we would like to leave and be refunded for our unused days. He said he wouldn’t refund any of our money because there was no time to get another renter. We told him that he should be more worried about resolving the cockroach problem, and offering to refund/reimburse us for the issues, rather then trying to find another renter. He basically accused us of lying about the above issues, and then said we were just trying to scam him out of money. He also asked us to never rent from him again, which I can safely say, we will never do.

well you must be some extremely unhappy person and I feel sorry for anybody around you. As we had a cold snap in the time you were Here...... you tried to leave 3 days early and asked for a refund of $400.00 which I did not agree to and this made you so angry that you thought it would be a good idea to write a bad review. Fact is that you called Manfred at 11:00 pm for a minimal issue which could easy wait until next morning. Every guest is more than welcome to call at 2:00 am for a real emergency like a water leak or so. I am in this business since 1999 and once in 10 years I have to experience a guest like you and now I hope I will be good for the remainder of the current decade
Had a wonderful time at this home. Great location. A lot of amenities and it was great being right on the canal. Beautiful home and welcoming neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.
Familie Jung
This home was beautiful and was exactly what we needed during our stay. We enjoyed our time and appreciate Kurt opening his home to us.
Be aware you will pay extra for electricity as others have noted in their reviews. We were there less than a week, the A/C was out for a day, and we still somehow went over the electricity limits. That was with turning the A/C up to 80 all day every day as we were gone at the baseball fields almost all day. I'd prefer to just pay a little more per day and just not have to worry about electricity while on vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was spacious, clean & the lanai was terrific.
Our only suggestions for future renters is to make sure you bring your own garbage bags, toilet paper, soap & shampoo & pay attention to the $35 / wk. electricity allowance. We didn't use the A/C for 1/2 of the week & still went over the allowance.

well sure enough you rent a house, not a full service resort and so you need to get your own essentials, paper towels and toilet paper is provided for the first days. The electricity allowance is sufficient if you don't run the A/C excessively and most guests stay within the allowance
Home delivered what we wanted. Open concept, warm pool, decent neighborhood, close to many restaurants and not far to shopping malls. Plus on a large canal so there is a water view too.
House was perfect for our foursome. Very clean and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone.

...your comment with the "foursome" made me a big smile.... Thank you for staying with us and you are more than welcome to return as you are a 5 star guest....
Very nice clean, quiet house. Within driving distance of multiple beautiful beaches and attractions.
Could not get the dishwasher or garbage disposal to work.
Nice getaway with semi private pool (not really for little kids)
Nice overall house. Family room coffee table and two end tables had glass tops along with the kitchen table so not the most ideal for kids under 10. There were holes in the side table lamps, some stains on the couch. There were several light bulbs out in fixtures throughout the house, master bath trim was completely off on the top, the door from the master to the bathroom didn't close but there was a sliding door from the bathroom to the toilet. Sink in the kid wing didn't have a plug so I used a washcloth in case my son dropped something in the sink. No pillow protectors under the cases so you could see yellow drool marks. Fans in all the rooms were super nice (however we could never get the fan in the family room to work). The queen bed was super high up and I wouldn't allow my kid to sleep there in fear he would fall off in the middle of the night. Big sliding glass door to the back yard wouldn't open however there were several other avenues to get back there. The marble tile throughout the house was beautiful! I did appreciate all the rugs. I had to put towels down on the tiles when people came in the house in fear that they could slip on the shiny floors. No dishwashing soap for washing by hand. No laundry soap. This was our first VRBO experience so I wasn't sure if that was the norm or not. I'm comparing to a condo share. Beautiful showers with half door and nice hand held shower heads. No bathtub in the house so a little stool in the shower might be helpful for little ones. Location was really great....close enough for a day trip to Sanibel Island and outlet mall shopping. Owner left garage door opener which was nice! The big downfall was the overage on the electricity. We knew there was a cap but it was 97 degrees (feels like 107 according to the news) so we turned the air to 72 for all the days which put us over the allowed amount so we owed $85. I believe the listing said something was brand new re modeled or new furniture but nothing was new looking besides the showers. I did see lots of boxes in the garage so maybe that's the new stuff we missed.
Our summer trip to Georgia was cancelled at the last minute so we were on the hunt for something with little notice and this was perfect!
This house was great for our family. It is in a great location close enough to Sanibel and Ft Myers Beach.
This was our first experience with VRBO and Kurt was accommodating and helpful. We definitely plan on coming back!
I was looking for a clean house with a pool, grill, on a canal and that is exactly what I got. Property manager was very responsive, I have no complaints and I would recommend this property. If I’m back in Cape Coral/ Ft. Myers I will try and re-book.
Very clean and close to town! We rented a boat during our time as well. Wifi was not working and very slow when it did. Not usually a big deal but hurricaine came through putting us at the house during the day. Would come back for sure!
