Hygge A-Frame: Pet friendly Forest Immersion!
Make yourself at home in this superb 1-bedroom McKenzie Bridge retreat, sleeps up to 4. Nestled in the heart of nature, this bright and cozy A Frame offers a tranquil escape for YOU. With window AC to keep cool (available in Summer months- June-August), WiFi to stay connected, books and games to entertain one or many, and a well stocked kitchenette/ coffee bar... this charming hideaway has everything you need. The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking trails and breathtaking scenery just waiting to be explored. White water rafting, mountain biking, fishing, golf at Tokatee, soaking in hot springs east and west of us, relaxing at the river, the creek, or one of many reservoirs... Sight see waterfalls, visit hisoric sights, or drive the breathtaking pass.
After a day of adventure, unwind in the comfort of your private retreat or venture outside and across the shared lawn, past the main home where the host resides, to our Outdoor Stay Area: enjoy a campfire or propane ring (when appropriate given fire restriction or safety risk) and relax on the rustic benches under the stars! We provide firewood... and ambient string lighting until 10pm. So relax in solitude with a 42" TV and complimentary popcorn, join other travelers for revelry at the campfire ring, or enjoy a brief walk for a local cider and live music on weekends at the Obsidian Grill. We hope you enjoy what our place and McKenzie Bridge has to offer.
Note: Host lives on site next door. The cabin is 430 sq ft. I will take care of dishes, extra towels and daily needs, such as replenishing complementary items or any practical access you may need. I will be around but interaction isn't necessary. I know you are here for the Hygge, privacy, and escape.

The cabin was cute, cozy and very comfortable. Great location close to hot springs and hiking trails. The host was gracious and very nice. Thanks for letting us stay here!
Angela pays a lot of attention to the details of making your stay comfortable: towel warmers, super soft sheets and lots of other extra touches. Wonderful host!
A lovely place to check out the McKenzie Bridge area. Clean, friendly, laid back, slightly funky. Angela is a great host with the ability to be there when needed, but not get in your way. We highly recommend the Hygge A-frame for your vacation stay.
We were only there overnight, so we didn't get to do too much there. It was a great location for the event that we went to there. A nice cottage in a great location!
Absolutely fantastic cabin stay - close to Tewilliger Hot Srings. Amazing host, very comfortable uplifting vibes all around. So grateful to have stumbled upon this gem.
The property was really cute. The host was super kind and helpful. There was a super bright light outside that made it hard to sleep, but the host did leave a sleep mask.
Great quiet location, market and coffee shop in walking distance. Waterfalls a short drive away.I'd recommend bringing a suit for the hot springs and definitely check out all the cute area has offer. My husband and I brought pasta dishes in for dinners because there isn't a full kitchen and it worked out fabulously. There is a great restaurant next to the Chevron id recommend that too. The host was specifically a winner for this place.
After a couple of days hiking we wanted to have a final night relaxing so we chose this cute little A Frame near the Terwilliger Hot Springs. My wife and I enjoyed playing some cribbage with wine out front before going for a short walk along the McKenzie River (3 minute drive). We then stopped at the General store nearby and ate dinner which was surprisingly good. The next day we packed up and went to the hot springs (30 minute drive). Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was clean, well organized, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend and would stay again.
My husband and I booked a last minute getaway and thankfully able to book a night in this sweet little a-frame cabin. After arriving we were greeted by Angela (the host) who lives full time next door. She was so incredibly friendly (we even ended up exchanging numbers and became friends) and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. I typically steer away from renting a vacation home that is so close to the host because I like privacy and worry that they might be in my business more then what's comfortable...that was definitely not the case here! We loved the location because it was near all the trails, reservoirs, rivers, and Hot Springs. It was the perfect central location. The cabin had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We really appreciated all the extras she provided like coffee, snacks and water. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with an exceptional host!

About the host
Hosted by Angela Mancini
I have resided in Oregon for over 20 years and have lived in McKenzie Bridge for 9 years. I enjoy nature and working with my hands, building and creating. I enjoy hosting as it allows me to share this sacred natural space with many, creating more joy and blessings in the lives of my guests.
Why they chose this property
I enjoy the wildness of the wilderness in this area. Close enough to our small community to have many conveniences, yet remote enough to have thriving wilderness diversity. Delightful morning bird songs. Comforting evening crickets.
What makes this property unique
We have a private park-like setting available for your enjoyment. However, the Hygge A Frame is privately positioned, should you prefer pure solace and communing with nature or time with friends and family.
