ABOUT THE RENTAL
If the Four Seasons Hotel chain offered a lakefront rental in Michigan, this would be it! Highest quality, full log construction in impeccable condition on Lake Michigan. A newer luxury build, executive level residence with soaring ceilings, massive log beams and rafters, plank floors, and carpeted bedrooms. Take long walks on the beach, just 50 steps from the house, and witness beautiful pink and purple sunsets from this western-facing home. Lake Michigan water levels vary each year, but this frontage usually allows you to walk out almost a quarter mile into the lake before you get waist deep. You get a secluded feeling on this heavily wooded lot, but are just minutes from all conveniences. A wonderful, soothing retreat to get away from all of the stresses back home, but with all conveniences you'd expect in a luxury retreat. You'll enjoy the expansive deck, which is ideal for catching some sun or grilling out, also the perfect place for an evening cocktail. The great room offers plenty of seating, a massive stone, wood-burning fireplace, and views of Lake Michigan. For entertainment, there is cable, Smart TVs, BluRay Player with a movie library, board games, whole house music system, and WiFi. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and has top-of-the-line appliances, including a Sub-Zero dual zone wine fridge, for your perfect temperature reds and whites. The spacious primary suite features a sitting area, king bed, private patio, lake views, gas fireplace, and bath with a dual vanity, soaking tub, and tiled shower. The two guest rooms each have a queen-size bed (one offering lake views) and all bedrooms have down comforters and pillows. The sun room has a beautiful stone, wood-burning fireplace, great for cooler evenings, and a full-size sofa bed for additional sleeping accommodations. End your evenings gathered around the firepit to enjoy s'mores and the sound of the Lake Michigan waves!

Beautiful views and lovely lodge feel inside

Beautiful cottage with beautiful views of the lake. Not a ton of sandy shore for playing but our kids enjoyed swimming in the water regardless!

I can say that the cabin is really cool, the location on the shore of Lake Michigan, and everything inside it is truly superb. This is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy time with family or friends. You can watch the sunset from the porch or the deck. A great view of the lake Michgan.

Fall Color Tour

Spent a fall weekend with some friends at this beautiful log cabin. It definitely did not disappoint. Plenty of room for 3 couples and great location to get to DT Charlevoix and Petosky for some great fall viewing!

Family & Friends Fall Vacation

We very much enjoyed our time at this home. It is a beautiful property with stunning views and amazing amenities. We loved the central location which made it easy for us to explore many different areas. of northern Michigan. Prime location

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well located cabin. Equipped with all the necessary tools to have a great vacation. Lake in that location is gorgeous. Not far from downtown area, plenty of wildlife to see, neighbors are really nice and friendly.Would be nice to have a ping pong or a pool table

Incredible Property

My family absolutely loved this house! It was large enough for all of us to gather and not feel like we were crowded. The kitchen was the perfect size for my mom and I do put together a meal and not be bumping into each other constantly. We are already talking about booking this property again in the future!

Summer getaway

My friends and family loved our stay here. So big and cozy at the same time. The lake views and sunsets were amazing. The place was very clean and pretty much had everything we needed. My only issue would be the beds - they were a little on the hard side for everyone in the house. Was not a deal breaker and we would stay here again!

Summer getaway

It was the perfect summer getaway, we escaped the heat from Az! We really enjoyed relaxing on the deck, listening to the lake water! The house had everything we could ask for and more! It was very spacious! We had a fire indoors and outdoors ! The private beach and yard was amazing! Can’t say enough good things about this property and the homeowners communication was excellent!

Beautiful lakefront home

This house has beautiful views of the lake and wonderful backyard space. There was plenty of shared living space and the layout of the bedrooms were ideal for our family ( Master on one side, two bedrooms at other end) . We were happy to see that TVs are now present in each bedroom which gave us a private space to retire to in the evening if wanted. We have rented three houses on this same road because we love the location and views and this one has by far been the best. For how luxury and beautiful the house is, it does have a few quirks, but nothing that made me not want to come stay again next year!

Wonderful stay.

Great location and beautiful house. Only negatives were the number of fruit flies which were prevalent in the area and so many in the house. If this happens to you, mix up a glass of vinegar, water (50/50) and a few drops of dish soap. Plenty of accessories for cooking and high end appliances. Could have used more dish towels, hand towels and washcloths for the bathroom. Only 2 of us so not a big issue, but a larger party it would have been. Overall, fabulous place! .Gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. The fires inside and out were great! Would stay again.

We enjoyed cooking out on the Webber Grill which is in excellent condition. Enjoyed the cool crisp evenings around the camp fire. Overall a great fall retreat. Upon our arrival we were disappointed, with the overall cleanliness of the cottage. It needs a good deep clean, especially considering health concerns of future clients.

Amazing Lake Michigan Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fantastic property in a fantastic location. Far enough away from everything to feel secluded and special, but close enough to Charlevoix and even Petoskey if supplies are needed or shopping desired. The house is huge, but we spent most of our days on the porch area gazing out at the lake with a cozy fire in the fireplace. In warmer, less windy weather we would have used the fire pit and the deck more. We saw loons, a bald eagle and griebes. We also came home with lots of Petoskey stones! The only complaint we had was the way the kitchen was stocked. The pictures showed what appeared to be a gourmet kitchen but there were no mixing bowls, no electric mixer, and an underwhelming choice of cooking utensils. That being said, we are already planning a return visit and we’ll just bring our cooking stuff with us. The cabin is a wonderful retreat!

Gorgeous home for our Moms weekend 2021

Our group of 8 moms had a very nice time. The location was awesome except the sign marking the house was very hard to see from the road when first arriving. The house is very roomy and comfortable. Light switches were hard to understand and figure out. We never could get the in house sound system to work. The hot water ran out after 2 people showered, but we just waited a little bit and it was back. The master was very comfortable and spacious, but we were disappointed there was no tv and we also could not turn on the fireplace in it. I would say there needs to be more instructions in the house as far as how to use different things, or where they are located. As far as the outdoor area, we loved it! We spent most of our time out there. From sitting on the beach (make sure to bring your own chairs-which we did), to sitting on the deck, to fires in the fire pit. I would recommend maybe some solar lights near the deck area for the evening, but really it was such and amazing view and beautiful sounds of the waves crashing at night! There was plenty of firewood for us to use and the grill was very nice. Even though there were a few things we couldn't use or figure out in this home, it was still worth it! The sunsets were so amazing! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat with an amazing view of the lake!

Pure Beauty, Relaxation and Comfort in Pure Michigan

This Lakeshore House is exactly as pictured. Welcoming, beautiful and a home away from home, but on gorgeous Lake Michigan! We rented this home to celebrate my parents 80th birthdays. It was imperative we keep them safe, due to the pandemic, so we wanted a house that was not cluttered, clean and one with privacy. I also chose this house because my Mother always wanted to live in a log home on a lake. This house couldn't have been more perfect! We've been home for more than a week and she is still talking about how perfect our time was there. Walking on the beach and looking for Petoskey stones, watching the water and every night gathering together on the porch to watch the absolutely stunning sunsets. We burned fires in the fireplaces every day. The house is in a great private location. So many attractions to see within a short driving distance. Charlevoix is a short 15 min drive with shopping, groceries, dining and sites to see. Mackinaw City is only an hour and 15 mins drive and Sleeping Bear Dunes was a little over an hour drive. It truly was a perfect spot and vacation. The house is open and so roomy. Each room makes you feel cozy. I love that you didn't feel as though you were staying in someone else's home. It was decorated simply, but perfectly to make it cozy. The architecture, wood ceilings, walls, stone fireplaces are beautiful! The front room, facing the lake, is so perfect with it's wood burning fireplace. We enjoyed having our morning coffee and evening card games while burning a fire in the fireplace. I could go on... Danielle and Jacquelline of Vacation Properties of Northern Michigan were so wonderful! True professionals! They promptly answered any questions I had prior to our stay and during. They truly wanted me and my family to feel at home...and they did just that. Thank you! I will definitely be returning and look forward to renting through them in the future.

Fall Colors

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage is in an excellent location with amazing sunsets over Lake Michigan. The sofas are worn and need to be updated. The Weber grill was in poor condition when we arrived with old food on the grill and an empty propane bottle. The freezer has a maintenance warning light and needs immediate repair.
