Seawing, a spectacular island villa, solar with battery back-up.

Seawing offers privacy, beautiful views, multiple gardens and comfortable furnishings. Whole house air conditioning provided during June, July, August, September and October! OCEAN BREEZES-OCEAN VIEWS- A true taste of what ST John has to offer. This airy 2-bedroom villa is very private and is located on a 2-acre lot in a quiet residential area. The villa features cathedral ceilings, 4 sliding doors, and has lots of character. In the true island fashion, it has 2 outdoor showers, one constructed of native stone overlooking a waterfall (during the rainy season) with natural rock formations. The property is professionally landscaped with many varieties of flowering plants. It is located in the Pebble Beach-Saunders Gut region of Coral Bay on the mountainside overlooking the spectacular Sir Francis Drake Channel, British Virgin Islands and the east end of St John. Enjoy morning sunrise and evening moon-rise under a star filled sky from either of two decks: one wrap around off of the living-dining area and another off of the loft master bedroom. Enjoy your morning coffee in the rear garden containing an outdoor dining area with gas grill. It is truly a unique vacation setting. Equipped with 2 flat screen TVs, WIFI, phone, ceiling fans, beach chairs, coolers and beach towels. Air conditioning for the entire home is available at an additional cost. A short drive to white sand beaches, national park hiking trails, and Coral Bay restaurants. Paved road and paved driveway access. A hot tub is located adjacent to the rear garden overlooking rock formations with a spectacular water view yet maintaining your complete privacy. There are custom mahogany kitchen and bath cabinets with glass tile back splash. The kitchen is very well equipped.
The lower queen bedroom suite has a completely renovated bathroom with custom built mahogany vanity and tumbled white marble and river rock shower. There is a 26 inch flat screen TV with Roku for Netflix , Pandora, etc . The lower suite has its own outdoor stone patio with an additional outdoor shower.
The suite is available for parties over 2 persons for the entire rental period of the main villa at an additional cost of $90.00 per night per person up to a total party of 4 for the entire villa. The lower suite includes A/C at no additional charge. Whole house A/C is available for an additional cost of $20.00 per night. During the months of July, August, September and October whole house A/C in included in the rental cost. Due to the privacy of the lower bedroom, this villa is perfect for 2 couples wishing their privacy. The villa is not suitable for children.

The most peaceful stay!

We adored this location. The privacy here was unlike any location I’ve stayed in, and we had such a relaxing get away. The property manager was excellent and responsive, and we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable!

This property was as described and furnished/stocked VERY well. The hot water could have been hotter and there could have been a few more beach towels, other than that, absolutely no complaints. The view was incredible and close to a few restaurants and bars in Coral Bay. Property management, Dena and Trevor, were also wonderful!

Paradise in Coral Bay

This stunning home was the perfect base for our week in St. John. It was close to Coral Bay’s restaurants, Salt Pond, and an easy (albeit crazy roads) ride to all of the beautiful beaches. The view and privacy would be hard to beat. The hot tub and outdoor shower were amazing. We did laundry a couple of times which was great. The property manager was fantastic. We hope to return!

Perfect Escape

The Seawing was an amazing place to stay in Coral Bay. It has everything you want and need. The views are amazing! Love the outdoor shower; especially at night under the stars. The house was well stocked with everything you would need for the beach. Book it now!!! You won’t regret it.

Seawing Provides the Perfect Escape

Seawing is such an amazing property! Thank you Frank and Kathy for opening your beautiful home to us. Dena was fantastic and set the mood for an awesome week. Property is exactly as described, but the pictures don't do it justice! There were many extra amenities for cooking and comfort. We highly recommend this place!

Private peace in paradise

Owners and property manager are perfect in that they invest in and manage the property very, very well - but otherwise leave you alone. Very private and tastefully appointed. Great for anyone NOT looking for cruise ship, nightclub and/or resort crowds or services. Also helps if you're not afraid of 4-wheel drive. I highly recommend Seawing. The Best Ever Trip to St. John

This was our 7th trip to St. John. We spent most everyday visiting and snorkeling the different beaches. We loved all the seas life, especially the sea turtles. The rest of the time was spent at Seawing!! From the exceptional view, very comfortable rooms, cozy hot tub, etc. even an adorable goat that showed up on the hill, it was just the best week we could have spent! We loved our vacation and look forward to going back next year! We've been to St. John 7 times. Being at Seawing made it our favorite visit!!!

Fabulous View!

The property was just beautiful. It was exactly as shown in the pictures. It has a beautiful view of the bay and the home was very well equipped with everything you need. Very steep driveway like other reviews said and is definitely not for the faint of heart. A jeep should have no problem getting up it though.

Great space for 2, great view, great location

Charming, private, multi-layered space with a gorgeous view east across Coral Bay to East End and BVIs in the background. The main bed area is an open loft above the living area so it’s perfect for a couple (but not ideal for a group). Kitchen well appointed if a bit small. The space has a cooler vibe and more attention to detail than others we’ve stayed at in St. John. Lovely landscaping with orchids and native flowers and an inviting back terrace completes the picture. Great location right near the Coral Bay shops and restaurants on the quieter end of the island. Totally relaxing - if that’s what you’re looking for.

Wonderful stay in Coral Bay

My husband and I stayed in the villa for one week and loved it! The view of the bay is spectacular! The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and there was a terrific grocery store several minutes away. We did bring groceries with us from St. Thomas, however, which had larger stores. You MUST have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the house (and to easily get around St. John). The owners of the property were very responsive and the on-island managers, Dena and her son Trevor, were readily available to answer our questions. While we did not need or use it, there is a separate bedroom on the lowest level that provides privacy if you need a second bedroom.I would recommend this to any one seeking a quiet, nicely decorated, and well-appointed house on St. John. We sure hope we can return.

Seawing Villa

We could not have asked for a better place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the island. The pictures and description accurately described the villa. It is as beautiful as the pictures looked. It is very private and beautifully landscaped. Both inside and outside spaces had a beautiful view of Coral Bay. The outside shower was so delightful! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare some meals. You WILL need 4-wheel drive to navigate the driveway as well as the island roads. We were warmly welcomed by the property manager and were shown the villa and its amenities. Overall: more than satisfied with our stay!

Beautiful and Peaceful

Loved this property! My husband and I really enjoyed relaxing on the deck both front and back of the home. It's so private and peaceful! Couldn't get enough of the gorgeous view, the sounds of the ocean waves at night, and waking up to the most beautiful sunrise. Loved the outdoor shower too! You can really tell the owners love their property. Can't say enough about the surrounding plants, trees, orchids, and so much more. Also, we never had to put bug spray on here at all which says a lot about the service they put into caring for this property! Thanks for sharing with us! Great trip!

We purchased this property in 2012 after vacationing here for the 25 years. We love ST John and especially the Coral Bay area.

Why they chose this property

The views and breezes are truly spectacular from everywhere in the house. We love the privacy and quiet of Seawing, yet it is close to beaches, hiking trails and very good restaurants. The paved driveway and road leading to the house is an added benefit.

What makes this property unique

An attractive feature is the airiness and openness of the house. The intimacy of the rear tropical garden with the hot tub, natural gorge and waterfall after heavy rains is something we have never experienced in any villa.
