The home location was perfect, a few minutes from UTSA. The pool was relaxing a great way to spend quality time with the family. We enjoyed the property very much! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience, the house was clean, kitchen was fully stocked, the pool was beautiful and clean, and the neighborhood was quiet. The bedding on the beds left a little something to be desired.. I would recommend bringing an extra blanket.

This was the perfect getaway to visit my sailor stationed in San Antonio. Four of us fit very comfortably in this 2 bedroom gem, and it was wonderful for my son to visit with us in a "home" and not in a hotel room. The house was clean, updated, and had everything we needed including an inground pool for the super hot weather! The neighborhood was safe and close to everything like the airport and riverwalk. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

The place is perfect for one to two couples. Walmart less than one mile. Every place wanting to go to is within 15 minutes. SeaWorld, Fiesta Texas, Aquarium, Water parks, and within 30 to 40 minutes You have New Braunfels with tubing on the River. Even when you want a day of rest. The heat pool is wonderful. And walmart will deliver. LoL.

Home Away From Home!!!

We have never stayed in a bungalow and it was definitely a weekend to remember. The home was perfect for me and my little family and Anthony was great at his hosting skills. We had a blast in the pool and our experience was fun. Thanks for having us in your beautiful home, we will definitely be back.

Lovely home, awesome outdoor space

Had no issues during our stay at all. The home was lovely, very clean and well equipped for a vacation rental. Located in a well established quiet and safe feeling residential neighborhood. Anthony was friendly and prompt in all communications and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The outdoor space is truly fantastic, so nice to have a well size private pool for our use. The pool was very clean as well and we enjoyed spending the afternoon poolside. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

Perfect little bungalow for a visit to our navy sailor

House is adorable, very quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed 2 afternoons of lying by the pool and enjoyed the large umbrella and comfy chairs. Location was within 20 minutes of everywhere we needed to be. I loved the little touches like the “Texas” cups and keurig K cups for morning coffee. The TV had amazing surround sound for us to enjoy the NHL playoffs. There are 2 queen beds which were VERY comfortable- house was very cool and quiet. Will stay here again :)

Loved the pool

This is a perfect home for a small family of 4. It has all the necessities needed for the stay and was very clean. The pool and yard were perfect for our group. The only downfall is there is one bathroom, which we knew before going. There is a small area closed off with a sink in the master bedroom; however, it does not work. The extra mirror and outlets in this area were a plus though. It’s a very cozy place and the owner was quick to provide assistance when needed. The location is great. The neighborhood is old but is safe, and it’s pretty much in the heart of everything. There were friendly elderly people walking in this neighborhood, which made me feel even more at ease. My daughter and I already miss the pool. We would definitely go back!

The front gate door sucks. It was such a pain to lock! The latch and lock do not align, and even though owner mentioned you “might have to lightly lift the door”, it’s not enough. You either get lucky doing it on your own or you need 2 people every time. The front door security is very touchy so when it reads it twice when you only push it once, you have to restart the system which takes forever after just taking forever with the gate! So we waited up to 5 minutes in the car with the baby to open up everything so the baby doesn’t overheat outside just waiting to get inside the home. The home is kept up very nicely, nothing is dirty or gross. The floors in kitchen, hallway, and bathroom are extremely slick so if you do bring little ones make sure they have grippy socks since owner does not allow shoes indoors. The rules are more strict than others, such as having to wash and dry your own swim towels when their dryer doesn’t fully dry (we had to dry twice). Having to put the bathroom mat on top of the toilet to show you picked up the bathroom? Weird you have to pay for a cleaning fee even though you have these mandatory chores. Another scary thing while we were there was the city and county were in a flash flood and tornado warning. Throughout the home are skylights so there is not a single room that doesn’t have a window, so where would we take shelter if needed? I think all rental homes should have emergency plans included in their homes for this reason.

A Great Disappointment

The initial reservation and confirmation was good. I will say the Vrbo messaging service is somewhat sporadic in efficacy. This may have lead to some of the confusion with the time crunches we had to deal with later on after our arrival. I can’t go into the whole story here because of content limitations. Bottom line Anthony didn’t follow through with his commitment we paid for and was not honest with us and lied to us and the Vrbo representatives that we were on the phone with. He stated to the rep that he would refund our money and never has. I would not have written this review if he had done what we had agreed to. But he is not a man of his word and I can’t recommend him to anyone in good conscience. I was very disappointed with him and the property. And also Vrbo. I’m still trying to see if Vrbo will hold him accountable in some way. They have him on record saying he would refund our money. But the rep also told us there was no way they could force him to refund our money. I hope this saves someone the heartache and expense that we had to endure. We ended up leaving and having to find a hotel to go to. It was nicer and less expensive. Beware of false advertising and misrepresentation of property. Anthony’s reviews were good. But we got burned!

Regarding the pool, grill, and patio, I apologize that they did not meet your expectations upon arrival. The pool pump does operate on a timer and may not have been running during the specific hours you were checking. Additionally, while I attempted to coordinate with my cleaning crew and a friend to assist, the timing did not align given the holiday weekend. As for the refund, I did speak with VRBO representatives and made efforts to resolve the matter fairly. If there was any miscommunication regarding the refund process, I sincerely apologize for any confusion caused. I value your feedback and am taking steps to address the concerns you raised, including clearer communication around cleaning procedures and pool maintenance. I genuinely wish you and MaryAnne all the best, and I hope that your brother’s health improves.

The host had great communication and was responsive. Our 8 year old loved being in the pool in February! We were close to many stores, restaurants, The Rim & Six Flags. Downtown was an easy 30 minute drive away. We loved the kitchen/bathroom floor. Bathroom was clean and shower was hot! The only thing we weren't extremely fond of were the firm beds. They were firmer than we are used to but that won't stop us from staying there again. The Google Echo in the bedrooms was a nice touch, especially when our daughter is used to sleeping with music on. We hope to be back later this year for another stay and visit to San Antonio. Thank you for a great stay!
