Great little cabin in the woods

A breeze finding the location. Checking in and getting settled in. Has all the amenities and is close to all the activities

We have a good time

The house is very nice. The driveway is sloped and not so easy to enter if snowing. The wall heater is noisy. The bed is noisy too😊 , jacuzzi have electrical problem with the breaker, but the area is so quiet, the forest and lake are very close. We have a good time

Outdated “gem”

It was ok at best. The bed is sooo tiny that any amount of decent sleep is sure to escape you-normal size people. Brown couch is pretty disgusting. Im sure my grandparents enjoyed this model. Coffee maker was unclean and kinda gross. The place is just so outdated it seems to be filled with broken relics of old dead people. Patio are needs some major work. Not inviting nor comfortable minus the jacuzzi. The location is great. Thats about all this place has going for it.

Disappointed but satisfied

Very disappointed in the property itself. Lots of spiders, broken toaster, heater stopped working (they did send someone out right away), water in jacuzzi was foggy. Not exactly what we expected but the property management was nice and worked with me. I was able to check out a day early and received a partial refund only for 1 night. I think overall the property is over priced. For what I paid, we shouldn't have encountered any of these issues.

Outstanding Value and Location. Will return.

excellent location, charming cabin, fully equipped kitchen, hot and nice jacuzzi, with everything we need. It could be a 5 stars if consideration to add these two: 1) a boom - for me to sweep the floor at departure or at times 2) more clean blankets - not one extra blanket or the one I had on the loft inside the cabinet was a bit concerned if it is clean or not.

2/10 Terrible

Terrible!

We arrived to find a disgusting ripped up and stained comforter on the bed. I mean literally it was so repulsive that I took it into the rental company to show it them. I had to shove it in a large trash bag and I was gagging the whole time and couldn't wash my hands fast enough. There were no pillows on the bed but there were about 10 yellow stained ones in a closet with no pillowcases. A blade from a ceiling fan flew off and hit my husband in the head when we turned it on. The place smelled like dog urine and the couch had unknown stains on the cusions. I didn't want to sleep on the bed that had the gross comforter on it. The bed was also just a full do not really big enough for two adults. I tried to sleep on a futon which was an agonizing 6 hours where I couldn't sleep st all and then there was some kind of built in wood couch with plastic cusions that I tried the next night and again could not sleep all night. I found some other dirty blankets in a cupboard but I didn't want to touch them so I used a blanket that I keep in my car for going on an occasional picnic for my dog to sit on. I have traveled extensively and theses were 3 of the worst nights I've had. I spent a month in India and had far better accomodations. BTW. It was 4th of July weekend so there were no other places available. If there had been I would have left in the first 20 minutes. Unless they make some serious changes do not go here!

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like we could have done better! This is certainly not our standard. I see you filled out a Guest Stay Concern upon departure so Management could have an opportunity to make this right for you. I also see a refund of $142 was sent back to your card for the inconvenience. Be assured our Team has already corrected the issues at this home with great care and urgency. We appreciate the feedback and have shared it with the Team. You are important! We hope you do come for another visit soon. Big Bear Vacations offers over 350 wonderful Vacation Homes to choose from.

4/10 Poor

Merely ok. Improvement needed.

On the outside, the cabin was nice. The inside was ok but was sparsely furnished. The couch wasn't comfortable; the TV had a number of channels blocked and parental restrictions; the fireplace was big but no firewood provided; the upstairs futon was uncomfortable; the spare bedding was dusty; the toilet in the lone bathroom did not have a tank cover; but the biggest issue was that the heat did not work. Two space heaters were found in the bedroom, but they barely heated one room let alone the entire place. When we arrived, the temperature inside was 47 degrees. With the two space heaters, I think we got the bedroom temperature up to 56. Maintenance was called but no idea when they might show up. We did our best to abide by everything mentioned in the waiver, but the previous occupant of the place left their trash. The waiver also said "No Pets", but there was feces on the front side walk up to the house as well as the back yard. Was gross. The hot tub didn't get above 100 degrees and the chemicals burned our eyes. We checked out early and let the property management company know all the issues we had. While they apologized, it didn't make the stay any better.
