We're Mike and Jenn, welcome to our lodge! When we moved here in 2019 we knew right away that this place was special and we wanted to be able to share the tranquility and convenience of this location with folks who want to visit Schoharie County. When we travel we always take our 3 dogs with us and we wanted to give our guests a welcoming place to stay with their whole family including beloved pets. We love walking the trails with our dogs and kayaking the creek with friends. It's great being close to the village and enjoying all our local small businesses and also easy to hop on 88 or Rt 7 or Rt 20 and pop into Schenectady or Albany. The view at sunrise and sunset here is absolutely incredible. So many different types if wildlife can be observed here, our most favorite being the bald eagles that live along the creek. We love living in Schoharie and cannot wait to share all our local gems with our guests!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is scenic and peaceful but easy to find and easily accessible to main roads. Terrace mountain is a beautiful backdrop for nightly sunsets and the creek and trails offer great views of nature. We're 4 minutes from Schoharie's quaint little village. We are 1 mile from the I-88 highway, and 30 minutes from Albany. Take a short walk to the award winning Apple Barrel Cafe and Gift shop and enjoy a fantastic meal. If you are looking for plant based options Love Shine Tea has excellent baked goods, bagels, espresso, boba, and tea. Farmers Beef and Brew, Greek Gyros both offer a variety of delicious menu choices for dine in or take out. The village liquor store is right next to Dry A.F. Craft Beverage, Upstate NY's only dedicated non alc beverage shop.

What makes this property unique

We have a beautiful view of Terrace Mountain
in the background, and lots of large windows to enjoy this view from through-out the cottage. We have space for a group of 9 and pets are welcome. The property is a short drive to many hiking trails, and it sits on the Schoharie creek. Fishing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and swimming are all seasonal activities folks can enjoy weather depending. We have lots of space for parking and can accomodate large vehicles and towbehinds.
