Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our visit. The house was very clean and organized. It was close enough to the beach that you could walk but far enough to be out to the hustle and bustle, it was a very busy weekend at Kings Beach. The cabin was quite and comfortable. We would definitely rent again.

Delightful Cabin Retreat!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint cabin. The location was prime! A quick walking distance from food, beach, and entertainment. The cabin was well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pan, and pantry items. We were there in the middle of summer and the cabin was cool enough that we didn't miss our AC from home. The backyard is peaceful with lots of seating area and resting spots. We would gladly stay here again!

Beautiful artistic cabin at the lake

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this Kings Beach cabin. It was designed so beautifully it felt like stepping into our own home - very comfortable and welcoming. Our kid spent so much time in the little playroom with all the old books and toys. Accessing the ski slopes was easy and playing with the snow on the beach was an amazing experience. We would highly recommend staying here. The only issue we had was with the heating, which is unsurprising for an older cabin. Some of the rooms were much warmer than others, bring your flannels!

Family fun at kings beach

Loved this location it was so close to the water, restaurants, and Safeway. The kids loved the backyard. Very clean and easy stay definitely would come to this location again

Clean, spacious, cozy, and had a ton of amenities (like firewood!). Cool furniture and decorations. Relatively close to the slopes, and really close to grocery stores and restaurants. Loved our stay!

Great location, close to the beach

This was a cool property in a great location a 10ish minute walk to the beach. It was an ideal size for our group of 6. We appreciated the unique art and large living area—it made hanging around the house comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment so we were able to cook most of our meals. We were also happy to find an umbrella and mat to take down to the beach with us. If you have neck issues, I’d recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones in the house were pretty flat. There were plenty of board games in the TV room but most of them were missing pieces and couldn’t be played. We also had some confusion about the check-out procedures as the house had two conflicting printed instructions that also differed from the instructions in my e-mail. Otherwise, we had a great time staying in this cabin and would gladly come back.

Our family loved this cabin close to King’s Beach and ski resorts. Super cozy and convenient. Our 2 girls (age 11 and 15) each had their own room, which was great. Felt very homey and we felt very welcome! Would stay again!

Stylish and comfortable and great location

We loved staying here. It's so stylish with mid-century furniture and contemporary art. The deck is big and surrounded by trees. The kitchen is stocked with the supplies you need. The beds are comfortable. All in all, it's a great place. We will be back!

We were two couples there for three nights and had more than enough space. Everything was well stocked. We got a lot of use out of the grill and the great back deck. Loved having two bathrooms. The downstairs shower is better but the upstairs one worked fine for us. Everything was clean. Location was great, close to everything but quietly tucked away. We'd definitely stay there again.

So hot

The house was incredibly hot upstairs with no curtains to prevent the sun from heating up the rooms. The overhead ceiling fans didn't cool the upstairs. I left a night early because I couldn't sleep it was so warm. The upstairs shower was full of ants and the shower head is broken. The owner has a sticker acknowledging that the shower doesn't work well. I was really disappointed with house considering the price per night. I would like a discount and/or partial refund.

Megan, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay fell short of your expectations! It is unfortunate that you didn't reach out during your stay as perhaps Evolve, the owner or the on-site manager could have addressed your issues at that time. The weather in Tahoe is usually very mild and never gets too hot, and we've never received complaints of this nature in the past. We apologize, however, that it was uncharacteristically warm during your stay. We have confirmed with the homeowner and their team that the upstairs shower is working perfectly. They post a sticker noting that the downstairs shower may be more enjoyable because there is a window with a great view, but the upstairs shower works just as well. As Tahoe is a forested mountain area, carpenter ants are very common, and do come inside in the summer looking for water. The house is sprayed each year to keep them away, and the homeowner will have their exterminator go out to the property immediately for an additional spray. Thank you for the alert that they are present. As is evident by past reviews, this homeowner and her beautiful cabin are known for providing guests with 5-star stays. Dream Tahoe cabin

We had a fabulous stay at Cutthroat cabin in October. The fall weather in Tahoe had just turned chilly and we loved returning to the cabin each evening to make dinner, eat by the roaring fire in the fireplace, and take a wonder full shower before heading off to bed in a really comfortable bed. The cabin has everything you would need, sleeps a large group and has a huge back deck and yard for entertaining. We will definitely return.

Clean, cozy, well appointed, working kitchen, comfy beds and linens, proximity, and one of the most important: quiet! I slept like a baby and felt I had a true vacation. Rent this place! Wish I lived here

This place is ideally located. Easy access and also a feeling of privacy away from the fray. I want my home to look like this. It’s got a great aesthetic and it feels very comfy, like a friend’ s home. Everything we needed was there to gather together in the living room or in the deck and to cook with ease. This place is perfect for a group that wants both together time and the space to spread out for solo time. I would also love to come back for a solo or couple’s trip. This place is on my favorites list.

What a gem!

This cabin is really special. It felt just like coming home. You can tell the owner is a creative soul with an intrinsic style sense that feels authentic, cozy and organic. We spend a long weekend with our one year old and had plenty of space to spread out. The washer/dryer and the fully stocked kitchen was a big plus for us. It is located within walking distance from the lake and within close reach of some epic hikes and Truckee with it’s super cute promenade and a really great kids museum is just around the corner. Thank you for a overall great experience. We highly recommend this property!

The Best Cabin !!

We loved this cabin and can not wait to return ! So stylish and cozy!We had a great ski trip, so close to North Star and walked to the lake every evening for sunset. Not your regular rental cabin as this one has all the kitchen tools, beautiful art and furnishings.The fireplace is huge Very well thought out for the a relaxing visit.

Super charming, cozy, and well located

This cabin is super charming! Everything about it was what we were looking for. My family and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday and were pleasantly surprised at how well-stocked the kitchen was, in terms of utensils. Christine has everything! The decor is also beautiful, and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. Everyone had their own space to retreat to if they wanted. The deck and view of the woods is lovely too. Would 100% stay here again!
