Placed on the edge of the shores of Serpent Lake, this 3 bedroom (1 king, 2 queen beds--super comfy, new and clean with hypoallergenic covers!), 2 bath home offers many opportunities for enjoyment.

The lot has gradual elevation with a new boulder-edged 15 x 30 foot beach, and lots of sand. The water is clean and clear and mostly weed-free.

The home offers stunning lake views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, walkout basement, deck, and extraordinary 3 season porch. There is a gas fireplace in the cedar paneled walkout basement. There is 100 feet of lake shore on a private lot on a quiet street. Amenities include: TV with satellite service, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer, Range/Stove, Microwave, Refrigerator with ice maker, fully stocked kitchen (dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.) gas grill, filtered drinking water faucet, soft water, and central air conditioning. There is a futon and sleep sofa in basement. Paddle boat, canoe, and kayak is available--free for your use. There is a solid basketball hoop on the large paved driveway.

There is plenty of parking in the paved driveway for cars and trailers. There are three garages as well.
We have plenty of chairs to use when sitting around the bonfire at the in ground campfire ring.

This property is perfect for all seasons. Enjoy the lake off-season too. The nearby recreational areas make this the perfect location for snowmobilers and cross-country skiers.

Serpent Lake is one of the area's finest bodies of water that is 1103 acres, with 21.7 feet of water clarity.

Wonderful Stay

Fun in Crosby

We had a wonderful five days of biking, boating, fishing and laughing. A beautiful place for enjoying nature and very relaxing.

Such a relaxing place

This is the third time we have rented this property from these owners, and have enjoyed it every time. The house has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. The view is beautiful and the sand beach is just awesome. We will go again.

Great time at the cabin!

This is our second year at the cabin and it did not disappoint. We love Serpent Lake and brought our own boat! The host is easy to communicate with and we had no issues! Hope to be back next year!

Great Lake and view

Beautiful lake home with extremely great view and easy lake access on flat ground. Spacious comfortable lake home. We had a great time! Margaret was excellent to communicate with!

Wonderful Lake Home

Our family of 6 adults had a lovely week at this lake home. Plenty of space for sleeping and just hanging out when you need a rest. The house has everything you need for preparing your own meals and we also enjoyed several of the local restaurants, shopping, and biking. We rented a pontoon and a jet ski for tubing and really loved the lake. It was a nice size and was never very crowded. It had good spots for swimming and good spots for fishing in the evenings. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family.

Perfect!

This cabin was amazing! All of the main rooms had views of the lake although we were outside the majority of the daytime. However, the day it rained it was peaceful to watch the rain drops hit the lake. The screened-in room was so great for the late evening! We had everything we needed and our kids under the age of five loved jumping off the dock, playing in the sand, watching the lions, and going on the paddle boat. The location to Crosby was ideal as we went into town several times to play at the large park and Super One. We would definitely rent this place again!

Fab time

We had three couples, one baby, and two dogs up at the cabin and had a great time! The bedrooms and cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of dishes and cups and coffee station. There was a pack and play for the baby (did not have a baby gate which would have been awesome, but we brought our own for the stairs). We played on the beach and rented a pontoon (from a 3rd party) to use on the lake and parked it on the dock. The cabin had games and water toys to use in the garage. It is situated in a cute neighborhood which was great for morning walks. Loved our time here and would definitely go back again! Thank you!

Family Vacation with our children and grandbabies!

The cabin is just perfect for our family! It has plenty of room for everyone! We absolutely love the porch! It's a perfect place to gather in the evening to relax before bed! We also love to have our morning coffee by the campfire that faces the lake! We enjoy every moment we can on the beautiful clean Serpent Lake! We bring our own boat and there is a perfect place to tie it up to the dock! We also take advantage of the many things Crosby has to offer! Biking, hiking, golfing, thrift store shopping, ice cream, and the many restaurants, etc.! The neighborhood is also very quiet and peaceful. We are thankful it is on a dead-end road, so no traffic! Margaret is such an awesome host! She replies in a very timely manner!

Review of lake home in Deerwood, Minnesota

This was a wonderful place on the lake. The owner was excellent to deal with and answered all my questions and called while I was there to see how things were going. The water was clean and home and yard were well taken care of. The description of the home and amenities was accurate. The photos in the listing were true. Plenty of space for sleeping and a wonderful big porch with windows overlooking the lake. I could bring my dog and that was a plus. Nice walking around part of the lake and also could walk into the town of Deerwood. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. It is close to many lakes and other activities. Crosby is 4 miles away and things to do there. I would rent again.

Lake stay

The owners of the property were very responsive with answers to questions that came up. We loved the screen porch. It is quite large and nicely furnished. The temperature was extremely hot during our stay. When the porch became too hot we went inside to cool off in the air conditioned house. There is a large yard for games. The house is older and the owners are currently working on updates. There are stairs to negotiate at each entrance. If you have mobility issues, this is probably not the rental for you. We were looking forward to swimming but the lake is quite weedy in the bay the cabin is located in so we did not swim. Our dog did like to chase his toys in the water.

Great lake home

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Pluses: There is plenty of space and lots of activities to enjoy - especially on the lake. The house is well equiped with most anything you would need or want. It has a cozy & intimate feel to it - like you are staying in a family house. Quiet neighborhood. Minuses: The stairs can be a bit challenging for older folks. There are some signs of wear and tear. Pillows (on beds) are on the cheap side and aren't very comfortable.

Peace and Quiet

It was a pleasure to stay in your peaceful home and neighborhood. We had everything we needed at the house, including a well-stocked kitchen, linens, lawn chairs, and even beach towels. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The area was full of nice restaurants. One of the favorite parts of the property was the big backyard and the sunrises each morning. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us. We left feeling so relaxed and rested. Everyone had a great time!

Serpent Lake Stay

We enjoyed our stay very much! Love Serpent Lake & this location gives us the best of everything. Perfect beach & beautiful sunrises. The house is large & has space to spread out. The sun room is our favorite space. The only con is due to my mobility issues. The entrance is a up a full flight of stairs. The deck off sets that somewhat. The host is great to work with.

Excellent choice. Lots of room. Well appointed.

The owner is extremely hospitable and quick to accommodate. My husband and I leased this property for 11 nights over Christmas and New Years. The weather was brutally cold. We spent all of our time indoors. The heating system worked perfectly and kept us toasty. The pictures are a true and accurate description of the property. There is a well stocked grocery store in town that had everything we could want. There are stairs that must be climbed to get into the main residence. A wheelchair bound person would have challenges. It was a delightful stay and I appreciate the owners very much. I would think this would ge a great property in the summer for water sports. Beautiful view of the lake! We wholeheartedly give the owners and property a 5 out of 5.

Beautiful Location

This was a beautiful home, and a beautiful location. We went in November. It was cold, but the views of the lake from inside the house were amazing! Plenty of room for my family.

End of summer getaway!

We had the best time staying here and the property met all our expectations! There was plenty of space for our two families. We loved the beautiful view of the lake from the living room and deck. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock, making s'mores by the fire and riding their bikes in the driveway. The 3 season porch was so nice to relax in during the evening. Margaret was very accommodating, quick to respond to any inquiries and so easy to work with. We appreciate everything and are excited to come back again soon!

Perfect Family Cabin

We had three families stay the week at this cabin and it was perfect! There is so much space available for everyone and plenty of beds! The peppery is in a great location with a beautiful beach. The cabin is also stocked with everything you need including toys for the kids! We can’t wait to book again for next year! Oh and plenty of shade throughout the day for the dogs to enjoy being in the yard but not be in the sun. Seriously perfect property!

Amazing time

Swimming was good, shallow enough for young kids, has a beach too. Water very clean. Loved watching birds at feeders 1-2 feet away from us. 3 season porch was wonderful for card, board games, TV. Little kids loved the play kitchen, toys you had. Close to a big playground in Crosby, ice cream shops, mini golf. My neighbor kids wanted to move into the house and gave our vacation a " 4 thumbs up!" Owners were wonderful, easy to reach.

Perfect for families

We love this home on Serpent Lake! It has plenty of room for us and our extended family. The kids enjoy the swimming and fishing, and trips out on the lake in the paddleboat. The large screened porch is a perfect spot for the kids to play. Highly recommend!

We love our lake home. We would like to share it with anyone interested in seeing the area. We are from the Mankato area--farming country, and enjoy swimming, canoeing and boating in clean lakes, walking and riding bikes on the Cuyuna trail, and the communities of Deerwood and Crosby.

Serpent Lake borders the two small towns of Deerwood and Crosby. There is so much to do!
