This family friendly home offers a fully functional kitchen, laundry, and the downstairs is a suite that has a bedroom, living room, small kitchenette, and bathroom, with a separate entrance. There are swings under the deck on the outdoor space and lake toys to enjoy during your visit. Stay connected with WiFi, stay cool with AC. With 3 bathrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone. The property features a floating dock with walkway, the depth at the end of the dock is approximately 5 ft at the end of the dock when lake is at full pond, perfect to use the complimentary: kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat. The dock is very close to the main lake with deep water. Make your vacation one for the books with a stay at our place. With wonderful convenience to all the amenities of Westlake (4 miles) and Bridgewater (7 miles).

This is such a cute house. Plenty of room, full bathroom on each level, great deck, comfortable furniture and good location. The lake was VERY low while we were there which limited lake activity. Otherwise we had a great weekend. One note: the “path” down to the lake is very steep and not manicured you should probably have sneakers on vs sandals.

The property is conveniently located to restaurants, pharmacy and grocery store. Home was beautiful, well decorated and cozy. Totally enjoyed sitting on the front porch as well as the rockers on the back deck overlooking the woods and water.

Absolutely beautiful house; everything worked as expected. Great communication with the host; Plenty of space for all 8 of us; mix of adults and older teenagers; Just a heads up the hill down to the lake is a doozy; pretty Steep incline. 100% would stay here again

If you want a place to stay in the woods, this is it. No lake sights available, The water is low but this is on a creek that goes to SML, not on SML. We enjoyed our weekend, a little disappointed that we could not see the lake. Beds and furnishings were comfortable. Kitchen/Dinning room table only had chairs for 4. The host recommended a great restaurant 1 mile away and it was amazing. We had a great weekend, short drive to a marina. Just would have been nice if the description was more accurate, thought we were paying for water front property, not a house in the woods.

The house was as pictured. Worked well for graduation activities at VT. The lake is very low so not able to use the boats. The dock was resting on mud. It was not the property’s fault but disappointing not able to kayak or swim.

Pleasant lakehouse stay

Check-in was a breeze. Walked up, punched in the door code and voila. The kitchen was stocked with all the non-edible necessities. Plenty of towels and blankets. Host was responsive to inquiries in a very short time. Lake access via incline difficult if not able-bodied. Its about 50 yards of steep incline. Otherwise, Zero complaints! 10/10 would stay here again.

Everyone in the family really liked the house. It is evident that it is well maintained. The online pictures shows a room with bunk beds, but that wasn’t the case. It was y an issue for us. Host was available when I had questions. The bookletThe booklet at the home no pets but the online said pet friendly. Online sis d. He out was 11 am but book at the home said 10 am. Little things that didn’t matter to us on our visit.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our multigenerational family’s needs. It has a great main level bedroom and plenty of space to spread out. The home is conveniently located, beautiful, clean, and well stocked with all sorts of little extras. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck, drinking coffee and watching the deer roam through the woods and down the path towards the dock. It is so quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay again!

The house itself was very nice! The porches were great for sitting out and plenty of seating. Plenty of room inside for the 6 of us. Bed was really comfortable! However, we were a little surprised when we arrived to see the floating dock sitting on dry ground. We weren’t able to take advantage of the paddle board or kayaks at all. Didn’t know the drought was that severe and left with no choice but to drive 30 min each day to Smith Mountain Lake for any water activities, which cost 7 per car and 5 per person to access the beach. Understand the owner can’t control the weather but would have appreciated a little advance notice of the severe conditions of the water level and inability to take advantage of the water craft provided.
