About this property
END your search! Fun dwtn historic home spa firepit big fenced yard game room
Stop looking and make the right choice by staying at this classic Coeur d'Alene remodeled bungalow home, with every amenity you'll ever need for the perfect getaway. Renovated and launched in 2023 by FunToStayCDA, owned and managed by an established local superhost (please click on my profile to see other great listings.) This charming historic home sleeps up to 8, thanks to two full beds in the open upstairs room, a king sized modular bed couch, and a queen bed in the private ground floor bedroom.
As with our other properties at FunToStayCDA, we think of everything a guest could want. Although it was built roughly a century ago, modern amenities abound. Everything was upgraded including a brand new HVAC system, new plumbing and electrical, new floors, paint, doors and windows, plumbing and lighting fixtures, appliances, smart TV'S with good Wi-Fi, etc etc!
Inside you'll find tasteful furnishings and decorations, and all the amenities you could want like smart TV's, an Xbox with incl games, board games, kids toys if bringing the little ones, cozy beds and couch, and all the kitchen items you could want for making food and drinks (there's even free breakfast goods for making waffles and pancakes!), a cozy 6 person breakfast knook for nice meal gatherings, and a fully remodeled small but functional bathroom with a full tub. SPECIAL NOTE : being an older home, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are narrow and steep. Anyone over 5' tall has to slightly duck their head at the top and bottom, and those with mobility issues or kids under 4 (unless highly coordinated) aren't advised to use the stairs without watch or possibly assistance. This said, I'm 5'11" and go up there often, and my kids ages 5-14 love the open attic space, just be aware. It's easy to put up the provided gate to block the stairs if needed. PLEASE inquire if you want more detail.
Walk out the back door and take a seat on a cozy adirondack chair, and start a roaring wood fire in the gazebo fireplace hut, protected from the elements. Walk a few feet more to the new 4 seater hot tub with lounger,or head into the converted game garage with a convertible pool and airhockey table, full sized ping pong table, darts, and a smart TV with Xbox Kinect for more fun games and local channels for watching sports and whatever else. And find the large fully fenced 30'x80' south side lawn with volleyball net and disc golf. And it's a great space to let your pups run! Please know we are dog friendly (no cats sorry), but do ask that you describe your dog in the booking message, and add them to the reservation which adds a $75 pet fee to cover general post-stay deep cleaning. Dogs must be houstrained and abide by our simple pet rules like no going on furniture or beds without a pet blanket, so they must be housetrained. In the warmer months, other fun toys come out like an inflatable pool and slip-n-slide, as we love to turn all possible areas into fun spaces, making this property unique from most every other VRBO you may find here.
Thank you for considering our downtown CDA home. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have before booking. We're confident you'll love this place, and we look forward to hosting you :-)
