END your search! Fun dwtn historic home spa firepit big fenced yard game room
Stop looking and make the right choice by staying at this classic Coeur d'Alene remodeled bungalow home, with every amenity you'll ever need for the perfect getaway. Renovated and launched in 2023 by FunToStayCDA, owned and managed by an established local superhost (please click on my profile to see other great listings.) This charming historic home sleeps up to 8, thanks to two full beds in the open upstairs room, a king sized modular bed couch, and a queen bed in the private ground floor bedroom.
As with our other properties at FunToStayCDA, we think of everything a guest could want. Although it was built roughly a century ago, modern amenities abound. Everything was upgraded including a brand new HVAC system, new plumbing and electrical, new floors, paint, doors and windows, plumbing and lighting fixtures, appliances, smart TV'S with good Wi-Fi, etc etc!
Inside you'll find tasteful furnishings and decorations, and all the amenities you could want like smart TV's, an Xbox with incl games, board games, kids toys if bringing the little ones, cozy beds and couch, and all the kitchen items you could want for making food and drinks (there's even free breakfast goods for making waffles and pancakes!), a cozy 6 person breakfast knook for nice meal gatherings, and a fully remodeled small but functional bathroom with a full tub. SPECIAL NOTE : being an older home, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are narrow and steep. Anyone over 5' tall has to slightly duck their head at the top and bottom, and those with mobility issues or kids under 4 (unless highly coordinated) aren't advised to use the stairs without watch or possibly assistance. This said, I'm 5'11" and go up there often, and my kids ages 5-14 love the open attic space, just be aware. It's easy to put up the provided gate to block the stairs if needed. PLEASE inquire if you want more detail.
Walk out the back door and take a seat on a cozy adirondack chair, and start a roaring wood fire in the gazebo fireplace hut, protected from the elements. Walk a few feet more to the new 4 seater hot tub with lounger,or head into the converted game garage with a convertible pool and airhockey table, full sized ping pong table, darts, and a smart TV with Xbox Kinect for more fun games and local channels for watching sports and whatever else. And find the large fully fenced 30'x80' south side lawn with volleyball net and disc golf. And it's a great space to let your pups run! Please know we are dog friendly (no cats sorry), but do ask that you describe your dog in the booking message, and add them to the reservation which adds a $75 pet fee to cover general post-stay deep cleaning. Dogs must be houstrained and abide by our simple pet rules like no going on furniture or beds without a pet blanket, so they must be housetrained. In the warmer months, other fun toys come out like an inflatable pool and slip-n-slide, as we love to turn all possible areas into fun spaces, making this property unique from most every other VRBO you may find here.
Thank you for considering our downtown CDA home. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have before booking. We're confident you'll love this place, and we look forward to hosting you :-)

The place is exactly as described. It is a cute and cozy home. A few minute drive to downtown & to a par 3 golf course. I would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay with very well thought out details. Would have preferred a pull out couch compared to the modular one that was present as it was a bit uneven to sleep on. Hot tub set up was perfect.
When first entering house was clean, They have many blankets and instructions for what to do at check out. My favorite part about this house is the fun things to do they have many games in the shed outside and tvs in many parts of the house.
Brian was very easy to work with, it’s a cute little house but it is very little. Was a tight squeeze for us our son and two dogs but back yard is good size, hot tub is nice and it is super close to downtown. Would definitely recommend for couples traveling alone.
We really enjoyed this property. Great location and clean. The couch in unit was different from the listed pictures and didn’t turn into a bed so more accurate description would be 3 beds and large sectional.

Hi Michael, I am sorry that the listing wasn't updated after the new modular sectional sleeping couch was recently added in place of the pull out sofa sleeper couch. Update complete. It's much more comfortable than those thin pull out sleepers!
Home was clean. The yard was not cleaned up after prior dog. Hot tub was awesome, worked perfect and clean. If you have a dog make sure to request deposit back within 24 hours. Host responded promptly.
Cute cottage in a great location!Backyard is huge and offers many things to do outdoors. The only issue we had was lack of storage for our luggage. We could have stored in the upstairs room but the stairs were steep. Brian's communication to us was friendly and timely. Overall a good experience.
Everything was very inviting cute little cottage decorated well with everything I needed. The owners were extremely helpful even provided a crockpot when asked. Would absolutely stay again.
Place was smaller than expected. Downstairs Bedroom was super small and upstairs bedroom had very steep stairs (luckily we did t use it). The one Bathroom at the back of the house was interesting. Host was excellent. Very responsive, especially when we let him know that some of the bikes had flat tires.Lots of extras: bikes, sups and kayaks (must reserve ahead of time!), game tables (ping ping, pool, air hockey-we could t figure out how to turn air, though), corn hole, badminton, frisbee golf. Hot tub. Also an outside shower.Great yard for doing all of the above! The couch in the living room was very uncomfortable and the sections would slide apart easily. Not much in the kitchen to use for cooking (no staples). Need new pans.We really we had a fabulous time at this house and really enjoyed our time in CDA. Would stay here again if only the 2 of us. Small house, BIG yard
Adorable historic home, thoughtfully remodeled and provisioned for guests. Loved the hot tub with outdoor shower, game room, and comfy furniture (indoors & out!). As opposed to other vacation rentals, this one had plenty of bedding/blankets, towels, and many lovely kitchen amenities. We loved the breakfast supplies and bar cart. As stated in the listing, the stairs are steep and narrow, leading to a great bedroom space for older kids but definitely use caution with the younger ones.
The house is perfect for the 2 of us. If we had kids they could have stayed up stairs. It is in a quiet neighborhood and extremely clean. The home is decorated very nicely. We had a wonderful time in Coeur de Alene. I would recommend this home
The property was clean and well-maintained, and overall it worked well for what I needed. The location was convenient and relatively close to restaurants, drinks, and the spa, which made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The only drawback was that the hot tub rules felt a bit excessive, but they didn’t take away too much from the experience.I booked this as a surprise for my wife’s 50th birthday, and she and her best friend had a wonderful time which is what mattered most. Overall, a solid stay.
