My family and I loved staying at this little cove side cottage. It was perfect for us. Had all the amenities we needed, great location and friendly neighbors!
The property was quite relaxing with a dock and a nice view of the waterfront and wildlife cottage had everything you need it was very neat clean and inviting really enjoyed our stay
A cozy, comfortable cottage in a spectacular location, with a fantastic view of the water, and easy access to the water for kayaking or other boating. Although it is quite close to Highway 6, I was surprisingly unaware of road noise.

I speak for all of us here at Del Mar Vacations when I say that we loved and would love to host you again in Eastham or in any other of our amazing vacation rentals on Cape Cod!
Loved this small cottage for my off-peak stay. Great view of the cove, plenty of sun on the deck... the house had all amenities listed. I had a little touble with the door code upon check-in (my fault) but it was very quickly resolved for me within 2 minutes over the phone.
It's tough pulling out of the driveway onto route 6, but worth it for the views! And close to so many things. I cant wait to come back.
I still give 5 stars but a couple suggestions. The shower has extremely high water pressure, somewhat painful even and also causes the floor to get wet. But I used the outdoor shower when possible. Also, it's very dark, a light by the driveway would be nice for some added security.
Charming and Adorable Cape Cod Cottage was perfect
We absolutely loved our stay at this Charming & adorable little cottage. It was just the right size. The decor and the waterfront location was beautiful right on the Atlantic Ocean estuary of Town Cove which is safe and fun to play in. The location was perfectly situated between Orleans and Eastham, making restaurants & groceries really easy. Although it’s on hwy 6 you don’t hear or see any road noise in the cabin nor while outside in the deck hid the dock.
Our highlights were 1. beachcombing at First Encounter beach at low tide. 2. We rented 2 tandem kayaks from Paddle Cape Cod & the delivered & picked them up right at the cottage for free. We paddled down to the marsh area & saw a seal and lots of interesting birds. 3. We bought a little crab trap & had fun catching green crabs with chicken legs right off the dock. Then we drove to Herring river bridge in Harwich to catch Blue crab… it was really fun.
All in all it was a lovely stay, I wish we had longer and can’t wait to come back in the future.

Hi Rebecca, we are so happy you had such a wonderful time exploring the Cape and staying with us! The calendar is open for next year and we would love to host you again!
Just want to preface this with the fact that the property managers could not have been more accommodating in the circumstances. A BIG THANK YOU TO QUINN FROM DELMAR IN HELPING.
The interior was clean and cute for a beach side cottage and had everything we needed. It was the exterior that needs to get cleaned up and the roof fixed if it rains.
We had a nice time staying here. We had some minor issues but the owner made up for it to our satisfaction. The location is nice, with access to a dock. It is close by to a grocery store, lots of great food in the area, and access to cable and internet is always a plus. I recommend it to those looking for a comfy base of operations when out visiting the Cape

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
In need of serious repair
Unfortunately it was clear that the photos of this property were taken in the past when the location was in better repair. What awaited our arrival was a dirty bug covered mop on the front door next to a bucket of water and old food (no joke), a molded shower curtain, molded Window ACs that smelled terrible, a dirty coffee maker that no one should use, broken bathroom door handle and a broken screen door that I cut my hand on twice. The location is terrific, the dock was a fabulous bonus but the property for the price is in need of serious upgrades and renovations. Most of the furniture is worn-out, broken and stained. It was not so much vintage but "stuff you find on the side of the road for free". Location gets a 9, the property, a 2.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for taking the time to give us your honest feedback. Although these issues were difficult for us to hear about, we are very grateful you have brought them to our attention and have given us the opportunity to fix them.
First and foremost, the cleanliness issues you faced have been addressed, I apologize the home was not up to our standards when you arrived. At any time, we are happy to send our Home Operations team back to a home to re-clean when found not up to guest or Del Mar Vacations standards.
Now and going forward, we are making a special effort to inspect and replace shower curtains as needed. We have replaced the AC units with brand new units, fixed the screen door, and fixed the issue with the bathroom door. We have deep cleaned the furniture and covered them with slip covers for the time being. We are discussing possible replacements. In addition, the coffee maker has been replaced.
We strive to give each and every one of our guests a five star experience, and I truly apologize that this inhibited your stay, but I am glad you were able to enjoy the location of our home. We are always learning and growing, and although it is difficult to hear our shortcomings, we thank you for your effort in bringing them to light. I hope your concerns have been addressed, but if you feel these steps are not adequate we would love to continue the conversation.
Just spent a glorious week at the cottage. It is pretty small but the decor is adorable and the deck is great and allows for more living space when the weather is good. The water view is incredible. Brought our kayaks—so great with the dock right there. Lots of great beaches and restaurants nearby. Would live another week there this summer but sad to see it looks booked solid!
Nice place, good location...but a difficult driveway to get out of!
We were there during the "off" season. The driveway is directly off Route 6. Getting in is a little tricky--youi need to put your hazard lights on about a quarter mile before you turn into the driveway.
But getting out of the driveway is the hard part--when there's no traffic--no problem--but when there's traffic on route 6, it's all but impossible to make a left turn out of the driveway. And to make a right turn out of the driveway, you must be very cautious--cars coming up Ropute 6 are traveling at high speeds.
I speak for all of us here at Del Mar Vacations when I say that we loved and would love to host you again at this home or in any other of our amazing vacation rentals!

Perfect location! Great set up, inside and out. Loved kayaking right out the backyard.
It was perfect. If you would love the sights, sounds, nature and adventure of the Sound right out your back door, bring a kayak and enjoy! If you like the convenience of being right off 6 between Orleans and Eastham, so it’s quick into town and to bike paths, this is it. We loved our stay!!!

Disappointing
We would give Del Mar a 5 star for their response time to a call we made and presence on the property: check-in visit, groundskeepers.
Property:
Pros: View of cove, new stove, new fridge, plenty of hooks for hanging clothes/towels, night lights.
Cons: Traffic noise (right on Rt. 6) and can't turn left out of property for traffic.
Very small. Photo online looks enhanced to give impression of roomier living room.
Key on rubberband that kept falling off. Invest in a key chain.
Red bath mats filthy. Step out of shower w/wet foot and step back in, black footprint. We laundered them.
Broken kitchen screen door that doesn't close on its own.
Rotting exterior main door frame.
Silverware drawer doesn't open all the way if back kitchen exterior door is closed. Hits door handle. Had to open kitchen door to pull silverware drawer out fully.
Low water pressure in outdoor shower. Disappointing because we enjoy the outdoor showers.
Bathroom very small and hit shelf over sink when washing face.

Adorable, comfortable cottage!
The cottage was lovely, perfect for 2-4 people and so close to everything. On a busy road but set off enough to be very tranquil and peaceful. Loved sitting on the deck and the beautiful view of the water!

A Perfect Location!
This cottage is perfectly situated on the lake, in beautiful Eastham. Sunny, yet trees for those needing shade. The dock is right there, just feet from the door. Private and quiet.

Quaint cottage on the water with a central location to all things fun and beautiful
We loved this little cottage. The location in Eastham was perfect for us as we spent a day exploring P Town, The winery at Truro, the lighthouses, Cape Cod National Seashore, then the next day went biking from Orleans to Dennis! Great places to eat and shop all around. We didn’t kayak but I could definitely see the potential. Best for couples and olders, I think. The kitchen is nicely updated although we only used the coffee maker and fridge. Lol. It was great for my husband and I.
