Newly rebuilt fisherman's house in quaint Olhão, located just off main street and near the waterfront, marina, restaurants & cafes. Easy walk to bus, train & shopping. Short ferry ride to the unique beach islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol. Easy access to other Algarve towns by train or bus.

Small kitchen with all amenities, heating/AC, Wi-fi, cable TV, DVD player, washing machine, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle. BBQ grill in back patio with table and chairs. A cozy little spot!

Goed compleet appartementje.Ik heb wat aanbevelen gedaan naar de eigenaar.Afvoer douche en het bed dat erg kraakt.Op loop afstand leuk oude centrum, boulevard met lekkere restaurants, winkels en treinstation. Voor ons voldeed het prima we zijn er 1 week geweest.

Excellent base

Lovely stay and Lucy met us on arrival. We received a beautiful basket of essential foods. This was very much appreciated. Check it out before you go shopping as there is a lot essentials. Great supply of toiletries, including very nice shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Lots of household cleaning products also supplied. House is small but adequate. Bedroom is a reasonably good size. Bed comfortable with lovely linens but a bit squeaky! Bathroom good size too. Small garden with some sunshine but with plenty of light. Nice garden chairs, table and umbrella. Perfect for eating breakfast or having a meal and drink in evening. BBQ also supplied, although we never used it. The property is very near the marina and lots of excellent restaurants. We were able to walk to the ferries, which take you to the Islands in under 15mins. All in all a very central property near local supermarket. Very reasonably priced.

The apartment had a leak coming from the kitchen that flooded the flat and the shower also leaked. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I had to buy painkillers to get through the agony! It’s hard as a rock. The outside patio is nice but it gets no sun so you can’t relax and hang out there. Too expensive for what it was. Stayed in much better, would avoid.

Why they chose this property

Olhão is an authentic, traditional Portuguese fishing town. The sea and fishing are in the blood of the proud Olhanense people.
I think it is unique and not a typical tourist resort community. It's a historic town suitable for year-round living, with many supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, banks, services and wonderful fresh markets.
It has a small town feeling, where people know each other, and I have become a part of the community with many friends and acquaintances.

What makes this property unique

Modern house yet on an old, typical, residential street of Olhão. Has a small back patio, which is not a common feature. Just a minute from the main street and in 5 minutes you can be at the supermarket, train station, bus depot or downtown at the waterfront.
